    This man has over 300 fights, and every single one of them he fights like his life depends on it. He hasn’t gotten “bored.” He hasn’t lost his passion. His fire. This man still puts everything into every one of his fights. This phrase gets thrown around very nonchalant, but this man is the definition of a true warrior and born fighter.

    Real muai thai students train for years, some spend up to 10 years training sleeping inside school just to get rdy to enter the ring for a chance to have a better life for themselves and families, to them this is more than a sport is an honor for their country and a lifetime a achievement for the fighter.

    What a crazy fight! Rodtang is scary as fuck! He doesn't care if he walks into a strike, he decides his combinations and just goes for it, and doesn't let anything stop him from doing what he decided. What a warrior!

      You get the gloves taped up at the wrist. If you throw a short hook - close to an elbow - you can try to graze the eyeball with the tape. It's theoretically possible with the glove itself also.
      Yes, I know it's pretty much impossible to achieve with any reliability... that was my point. Now go forth and 14.

    Most thai fighters are just beast because theyre basicaly "adopted" into their gym, western fighter have too much distractions with lives and whatnot, for most western fighter this is simply a sports or career at best, but for thai fighters this isnt just a sport its their lives, they truly eat sleep and live their training.

    Rodtang's weakness is counter fighters. We saw this in his fight with petchdam years ago and his recent fight in Rajadamnern Stadium. He's my favorite current fighter in Muay Thai but I want to see him evolve further and then beat Petchdam in ONE. He just better not swing wide open like he has done before because it may cost him points.

      @leslie alcantara I think his 2nd fight with seksan that happened last year in december was a good eye opener for how you march forward on rodtang. Even though Rodtang still one, Seksan was still able to make smart moves. Superlek might be able to give that type of energy as well. We'll see

      @@P0rQpine i wonder how the scoring goes in ONE. Traditionally punches aren't scored as high in Muay Thai as kicks are but I think they score the same in ONE which gives an advantage to Muay Mat style fighters like Rodtang

      Well you got your wish, Rodtang dismantled Petchdam earlier this year. I've never been a Petchdam fan, he doesn't like to get hit and relies too much on that big left leg and Rodtang dismantled him. Huge Rodtang fan here in middle America.

      Mauy Thai fighters are deadly but they would’t stand a chance against a top ufc fighter once they get taken to the ground or start grappling its over there only good on there feet. Ufc fighters are deadly all around on the ground and on there feet there a lot more scarier because of that.

    Haggerty put up a solid fight but showed way too much fear after taking couple of hard trades. it could be seen in his eyes literally every time rodtang moved in more aggressively. great fight anyways.

      Many Thai fighters are coming to fight in this weight. And they are the top fighter in Thailand Some were even better than Rodtang . At that time, Jonatan probably dropped out of rank.

      @@kuldeep_fbx Thai fighters, for obvious reasons, employ hand striking - in terms of power and combinations - much less effectively compared to boxers. That's what I meant. It doesn't mean they have weak striking. It simply means they use what their sports call for.

      @@b-sideplank Thai box uses less purely hand combinations because of the 8 limbs going on but what they throw goes with more intent then in western boxing. The only thing boxers have going for them is hand speed on longer combos. The power is depending on who you are comparing. He was recognized by the Thailand Royal Family for his contribution to Muay Thai and appointed the ambassador for foreigners coming to fight in Thailand. I'd say that there are people that like him, I dont know.

    I instantly seen rodtang weakness both in 2 fights I've watch. I noticed he swells very easy. Opponents barely land but yet his face is sensitive

    Haggerty is a good elbow fighter but you can’t complain like you don’t fight Muay Thai tho especially when the hands come out or the didn’t hurt expression shows up other than that legit
