She had to be the toughest because she was the President. Everyone looked to her for leadership.
I miss her. Hope she comes back and releases a new album this year. Honestly, if they made "Ayami's Room" into a TV series and just let her interview guests and sing a couple of songs each episode I would watch the heck out of it.

She was already an established star. Sakura Gakuin was established as an offshoot of the Karen Girls. Ayami and Suzuka had that "it" factor that made the school possible. Ayami was correct too, she never really grew much.

My god, the level of cuteness is through the roof!
She was 22 months older than Su and nearly 4 years older than Moa and Yui. Her size and appearance was still similar. You can see the confidence, the presence and talent to be a star on her own in this video and all the others from her short time in the school.
Is there any SG fan who *_doesn't_* miss Ayami? She's a talented young woman but clearly was unhappy as an idol -- and she's WAY too short to be a model like Airi & Ayaka (even Moa is taller than her now). I wish her luck in finding herself and I'll support her when or if she decides to return to singing.

Just about *_every_* girl who's ever gone through Sakura Gakuin is instantly lovable even by Junior Idol standards. Ayami was the engine that started and set the tone of SG. Any Fukei worthy of the title misses her.

The first person who came to mind when Yui announced her retirement from BABYMETAL was Ayami. She's fantastic. Her long relationship with both Su and Moa make her perfect, if she is willing to be mostly secondary to Su. The fans would love her. Ayami-Metal!
That's what I've been saying, but anytime I bring that up, Ayami fans get all worked up and say shit like she's a solo act and a 'true idol' whatever that's supposed to mean. The fact is, Ayami's career has never really taken off and BM would be a step up for her. Plus, she'd be great and the fans would definitely accept her.
@@guyjin788 While you are technically correct, you underestimate the importance of seniority. Ayami is not about to start playing second-fiddle to Suzuka. Psychologically it would be a step down. Also, Ayami's style is a poor fit for Babymetal. She's at her best when she gets to interact with an audience because she's an absolute master of MC -- only Perfume are better -- and has amazing comic timing. Babymetal does not work to Ayami's strengths at all.

Ayami is the only person in the whole world that could fill Yuimetal's position full time and be immediately accepted and respected by Su, Moa, and BM fans. I doubt that she would do it, but she could if she wanted to.

Some years already past from this comment, but I've to say that Hana was better fit on that, I mean, everybody can see that just for watching the comments on any video of the Mini Pati club (obviously, the Second Generation of it, with Yui, Moa and Hana), maybe for rebound or maybe just for being there with MoiMoi but she was and still is, loved by a lot of fans of BM.
Ayami is one of the most loved girls of all the members of Sakura Gakuin but I think nobody or almost nobody though like what you said.

@albertorivera4485 Three years ago, I felt that Ayami would have been best. Best president, clearly! But she was loved by all the girls and the fans. Additionally, she was adored, admired, and respected the most by Su, Yui, and Moa, specifically. Due to their ties to Karen Girls. Even so, I'm sure I was in the minority and there was no chance Ayami would have accepted anyway.
Hana would have been a good pick. She has that sweet Japanese style cuteness and demeanor. But most importantly, being a member of Yui and Moa's class, she's junior to Su, and MoiMoi had already worked with her in Mini Pati. Having said all that, I think they ultimately made the right pick with Momo. She has the SG pedigree and earned her spot the hard way, slowly winning over fans as an Avenger. I'm pretty happy about that. 🤘🙂🤘

_Yariniku!_ actually translates to "Let's do it!" (your reading would be correct but for the little-tsu and exclamation at the end). Somehow the translator mixed it up with _yakiniku_ which is the real word for "grilled meat".
Soufriere No offence, but you're wrong. I'm a native speaker. As Pato Niku points out, the "やりにくっ！[Yariniku!]" here means "It's (really) hard to do!," not "Let's do it!" (or "Grilled Meat!"). Explanation: "…にくっ(！)[…niku(!)]" is an informal (emphatic) abbreviation of "…にくい[…nikui]," whose English counterpart is "hard/difficult to…" Plus, the "やり[yari]" here, which is conjugated from "やる[yaru]," means "do." Therefore, what Ayami means by "やりにくっ！[Yariniku!]" is "It's (really) hard to do!" (moa precisely, "It's (really) hard to emcee the show (cuz Raura, Marina and Rinon are being such awkward guests)!"). I usually ignore incorrect subs because there are too many of them, but I felt like I should at least correct a correction of a correct correction. Again, no offence.

Disagree. Teasing is what Sensei does, but he adjusts the degree based on how much he thinks the girls can handle. Ayami was an old pro even then, so he saw no reason to hold back on her, and she responded in kind. She was his best sparring partner and he's been waiting ever since for another girl who can take him at full blast then give it back to him.
