Better reserve those tickets and a seat because you don't want to miss out what Everdell's new city has to offer. It's about to blossom like the spring bloom!
Join me on some train rides!! I’ll teach you how to play Everdell's new expansion Newleaf. We’ll take a look at the components, setup, player turn, and end game conditions for the game.

One correction.
When you take a card from the station, you have to take the resource token, what is next to it and you only gain that resource if you played that card into your city. Only if you take a visitor card, then you can chose which reward token you want and you get that resource immediately.
From the rulebook:
"After you play the XY Card into your city, you also gain XY Token from the train card tile next to this card."
also
"Whenever you play a card from the Station, also gain the reward listed on the Train Car tile *beside the card*. This reward is gained *after* you have fully resolved the played card ... "

i wanned to nuy everdell so badly when it came out and everytime it got an expansion, but i waited.. and when they came out with the complete collection lol i just baught that everything in 1 go
Love the husband and wife cards. They are my faves. I always get them both and the farm. Husband and Wife go together like peanut butter and jelly!

I had a question, would those special events from New leaf be compatible if you were playing alongside the pearl brook expansion ? Or would they just be binned as the wonders are now in that spot ?
Thanks for watching and for the question unfortunately I can't check the rules on New Leaf as my copy is currently packed away as our basement flooded a while back and we are making repairs currently. I would say though you could always try it out and see how it goes.

Switching husband and wife to harvester and gatherer is meant to be more inclusive to people in non standard relationships. Everyone is fine to play how they want, but that's why they did it.

We get it dude, you don't like the change that doesn't change game mechanics at all but is inclusive of more players. I came here to learn how to play a game, not for passive aggressive commentary.
Exactly how I feel… it is getting ridiculous at this point
They added the addition of the harvester and gatherer cards to make it more inclusive for those in non hetero relationships. Husband and wife cards are still included with the small addition of those words. I find it baffling that you’re board game channel reviewing this game and you “had no idea why” the addition, it was pretty well documented and discussed on not only the kickstarter page but also BGG. I suggest to maybe research or future videos so you could explain these things to your audience.
Exactly! Not only said it once but twice. A minimum research or looking at the kickstarter page of the kickstarter game you're reviewing, as well as reading the notes included would serve. So crazy in 2023 there's people who still wouldnt figure it out and be in shock.. twice

If I'm not mistaken, the LGBTQ were offended by the husband wife cards because little critters that are imaginary are offensive and they had contacted the game creator who then changed them. Really lame in my opinion

Your comment actually prompted me to sell my old version of everdell and by the new complete collection just so that I had the "offensive" yet inclusive cards. Go work on your harvesting and gathering skills if you want to feel included, but don't be a dick and exclude people because of your homophobia
