in so called agile in environment, scrum masters are asked to do and follow what is continuing, any changes or improvements means risking your job and creating more enemies. this is a pattern in majority of fintech and established service based organizations..hence wait and. watch, keep switching, until you get to have your say.
I am a scrum master. My management wants me to update my daily work/effort to see if I am occupied or not and also my performance. Is this the right way of assessing? I don't have tasks like my developers but I am here to help the team adopt scrum, facilitate events and work on their efficiency to deliver and many other improvement items. How can I handle this situation? Thanks
This is called theory X culture where default assumption is people will not work till they are monitored, usually leadership can only change the culture from theory X to Y.

This is true , if we recomend any change in existing process that team is practicing in service based industries, they don't like scrum masters
