- UFO journalist Jeremy Corbell has released footage of what he is calling a “jellyfish” UAP spotted in Iraq in 2018. NewsNation has not independently verified this footage. UFO expert Nick Pope joins "Banfield" to discuss.
The "jellyfish" ufo spotted by hundreds of people over Russia and Europe in 1977 was also described as being translucent or see through.

If not a hoax, a smudge on the lense or anything man-made, what could it be? This sighting is absolutely interesting. Many would point to aliens (again, not anything I just mentioned) but what if it’s an energy that has been around us forever and avoided real detection? I'm sorry, but IMO Nick Pope is someone who has been zigzagging all over the UAP map for years. Both a fence sitter extraordinaire and a postulator of extreme theories, he seems to effortlessly reconfigure his 'spots' for whatever news outlet or History Channel show he appears on. Yes, he did preside over the UK's MoD 'UFO desk' for three years, essentially responding to media and parliamentary enquiries about the phenomenon, but regarding him as a UAP 'investigator' and the 'go to' person on this topic is a bit like handing Prince Harry the 'Living Legends of Aviation' award. Even in this six-and-a-half-minute piece, he went from stating that he leaned towards this being Chinese rather than 'Martian' to later admitting that Russia and China are seeing these things as well. Let's face it, if either Russia or China possess technology that is 'invisible' in the visible spectrum (night vision) yet shows up in IR, can jam optical targeting systems, can display positive lift without any propulsion signature and can seemingly fly over our 'secure' facilities with impunity, then we have a much bigger problem than just UAPs!
He will still be tied to secrets act so won't be able to "confirm or deny". He does know more about the subject than he says and the whole it's Russia or China can just be seen as deflection, a way of changing the subject or moving on without giving anything away.

There’s a lot of information attached to this object than what is being talked about here, and also more public footage. In the TMZ series where this footage was just revealed, it was said that the object was only visible in the thermal spectrum, and no sensors could lock onto it or something like that. Also, it had a very strange sort of armor on it, interacted with water (shown in the documentary) and also moved in whatever strange ways. Definitely very interesting.
Yep, it submerged into water for 17min then shot up 2800 feet into the air before radar lost it. They couldn't get a radar lock on it either. Drone? Hell no! In 1990 in Alfena, Portugal there was a mass daytime sighting of a similar type of tentacle UFO. There were also pictures taken and dozens of witnesses.
An obvious question no one's answering is whether the object was traveling on the wind. Clearly, if it's making progress against a crosswind it's a totally different scenario than a balloon with the wind.

I have been attempting to identify any discernible 3D-like shape in this object. Even when the black and white values change, the profile remains static, unaffected by camera movement. This suggests to me that it is more likely a stain on a camera lens than anything else. Additionally, the crosshair movement gives the impression of being from another camera capturing the original feed. Does anyone else observe any changes in the silhouette's profile?
The camera focuses on it at certain points. If it were a stain, the camera could never focus on it. If it did, everything in the background would immediately go out of focus. That doesn't seem to happen. There is definitely something there in the air.

Also, one more observation: where it seems to be flying at a particular altitude, does that indicate seeing particular areas well, and, if so, which ones and why? Does the consistent altitude for most of the video possibly indicate limitations of the object's maneuverability? The video didn't show it entering or leaving the water, so did it fly higher or lower than its original altitude after leaving the water?

No it doesn't, the splatter is on the lense protector and the camera is rotated by the operator. Some Recon Camera Gimbals have a rotatable lense protector, like on a NASCAR onboard camera, to rotate dirt and debris out of the camera's view. It's literally a man in a standing position with some sort of large jet pack behind him. You can clearly see the man's outline in front of the jet pack at 2:35 - 2:36. The military is probably testing some sort of stealth capability with the jet pack.

Seriously, it looks like a blob of molten rock was thrown in a pool - perhaps this was the result of this craft being formed in a body of water. BTW There have been many reports of these objects dripping molten metal.
Modern hologram technology make a great deterrent / confusing image for enemy but they can only currently travel alongside a vehicle/ aircraft so they only project parallel images with no perspective ie getting bigger smaller

@mcnowski If it's on the lense itself it should be in a fixed position related to the focal point. I'm not a photograph expert the ones who have opined so far seem to be saying it's not a smudge on the lens.
We haven't seen the full video, but the claim is that it leaves the field of view, enters a body of water, remains submerged for over 15 minutes and shoots up at incredible speed, if that's true and we see that it would seem pretty definitive that this is real.
That footage of it going into the ocean will never surface because it never happened. The so called "tentacles" are the bird poo running down the lens. This is just cheap media hype to generate views and ad revenue. @@JamesWatheist
