One of my friends has a sister and her husband in the ICU. They are in very bad shape. The Texas tornado got their home with them in it. They had just moved to Texas. We are all praying for them to recover. We very seldom get tornados here.

When I was a preschooler in the early 60s, we moved into a house built in 1780. The realtor gave my parents a typewritten page listing all the former owners from the very beginning and dates of tenancy. I have that page now and it's fascinating to read.
PS: the only mushrooms I eat come from the grocery store. Safer that way.

You should be able to get the land Info at the county courthouse, deeds/ land abstracts dept.
After removing the goaties from the bird-bird house, you might make a bird-bird sized door so the goaties can't go inside.
Just a suggestion regarding your Guinea food. Keep the bottom portion of the gate for the Guinea pen closed to keep the goats out, but the top portion open for the Guineas to fly in and out of to get to their food.
Look at Spruce's belly while he's standing up on the tree.
Go to the county land office, etc. and find the historical society (sometimes at a local library or museum). They should be able to help you find the history of your property.
We have a woman on murder charges at the moment in Melbourne due to mushrooms she foraged for. She made and served up Beef Wellington at a family gathering. 3 people died and her father in law survived but has been left with major health issues.

I’ll take the heat, sand and desert of southern Arizona over your major storms and tornados. We have monsoon season July-September, major flash flooding and erosion. But it still isn’t the terrifying weather of softball size hail and tornados. My dad served Korean War, my father in law served end of WW11 and Korean War got shot twice, he received the Purple Heart Medal and Silver star, a letter from the President from that time, a few other medals. He gave them to our only son to carry on their family lineage. My son had two sons so it will help carry on the lineage. My dad had two sons to carry on the family lineage but one was killed , oldest brother, On Christmas Eve night in a car accident with his family, but they were not injured bad. My brother has only one boy, my younger brother loss his only son a few months after our oldest brother was killed in the car accident. My youngest brother little boy died at 22 months old, at the carelessness of a nurse in a hospital. She gave him too much potassium that would have killed a 250lb Man. So oldest brother’s son is the only one to carry on the family lineage on from my dad’s. I have so many Uncles that fought in the wars, and did some wonder outstanding things. I salute all of them.
I salute my aunts as well, quite a few of them went to work in the plane factory, ammunition plants because the men that worked those jobs were off fighting war.
Also I salute my Uncle Melvin killed in action in WW11. My grandmother wrote this letter about the day they came to her door to tell her that her oldest son was killed. All her emotions in that letter breaks one’s heart. Her own suffering came out. 😢

Contact the title company that researched your property to make sure there is a clear title on the property. We got a copy of the original deed with all the different owners & when they owned the place. There should also be a title land office at your county court house. You can call them & see if they have an abstract on your property.

You might try and see if a title search on the property is available. In PA we can do those before we by property mainly to make sure no money is owed to the "big brother ".
Title search is mandatory in many states, ie; MO, where Doss' lives ,as well as myself. Title search is only to make certain there's no liens on property. The county assessor would have previous owners.

Everytime Herc comes up to Kyle, his breathing into the mic sounds like the old time steam engine trains 😂. Have lived all my 70+ years in tornado alley. Some in a mobile home. You learn to pay attention to not just weather stations but mother nature's signs and be prepared to take cover quickly. A green cast to the atmosphere puts me on high alert. Learned that in first grade when a huge (Moore, Ok. size) tornado barely missed our small town. The one and only time my Dad ever yelled at my Mom...she wasn't moving fast enough getting us in the car to leave the trailer. He'd spotted it close coming home from work.

I know a 100% accurate storm teller, Wild Birds. When they go silent, be careful. When they start chirping again, even if it's still thundering and lighting it's all Ok. In my 55 years they've never been wrong, and we've had some pretty bad Tornadoes here in Kentucky. We had some bad ones as resent as yesterday. Stay safe!

Today felt like a family visit, thank you
I've been steadily praying for all my UA-cam farm families through this whole tornado season. They seem to be more prevalent in so many different states this year. A couple mornings back I woke up from a sound sleep about 4:30 in the morning. I'm usually up and down all night so it wasn't unusual but I had a strange feeling. Just unsettled. So I got on UA-cam to find something to listen to and hopefully get a few hours of sleep. I missed a live from one of my UA-cam channels that had never ever posted that late/early in years of watching. They had a night tornado touch down about a quarter mile from their home. The three children were scared . I immediately started praying. I believe it was Oklahoma. I guess their nearest town was hit and torn up something awful. Whole buildings destroyed and whole roofs blown off houses and entire vehicles just picked up and blown. Indiana had some horrible tornado activity back in the day but we haven't had any really bad ones in about 5 years or so. But it's something you never forget. My soon to be 43 year old son remembers taking cover in many basements with candles and hand crank powered or battery radios.
Go to your Town or County records. Everything should be there. Most states have all records there.

The Missouri Department of Land Management should have historical records and maps of county and city maps. It is quite possible that the parcel if land you own was a section of a larger chunk of land that wad broken apart and sold to several people over the years. They could also tell you of whether your land was residential, farm land, state owned or just vacant property.

Discovered early on, before they turn brownish and belch out their spores, puffballs are edible. If you slice into the flesh and it's still pure white, you are good to add them to stir-fries or other recipes.
There is a app 19:00 on your phone and you can take a picture of it and it will tell you everything about before you touch it. You can get a book to study them, but its better to have app because phone is with you all the time.

Arms Family Homestead know about them. They go looking for them once in a while. It is called The Morrel mushroom. It is very edible. It looks like a mushroom growing up.
There’s a false Morrel mushroom that will make you ver sick. They put out warnings here telling people the difference. But they look very much alike.
No the one they found is not a Morrel
