Tom McCall was right."for heavens sake dont stay"
Featuring one of the most prolific character actors from the 1950s to the 80s, Edward Andrews. Practically everyone knew the face, but not the name.
The good old days😢
those were the days lmao
Something like this commercial needs to see the airwaves again, with the tagline "Go back, we don't want you"
Unfortunately, the kids of that developer now think they are Oregonians and think that the state has always been liberal!
Too bad it wasn’t a felony back then.
Yup, and at one time Coors was one of those beers illegal in Oregon! 8-)
I remember that. If I remember it was based on coors having a higher alcohol content.
"Oregon boarder commercial by Blitz Weinhard" - Josh Dirksen should give it a watch.
No lies detected.
Born and raised in Oregon. I was around 18 when this commercial was released. I offer a huge apology to all those folks I argued with about the influx of non-Oregonians to Oregon. I thought the anti-outsider feelings were so narrow-minded, judgemental and insular. Boy was I wrong. Forty plus years on, and I can clearly see how those outsiders trashed my state, turning it into a liberal cesspit, from which I was forced to flee. There was no-one who could have foreseen 40 years ago, how miserable things would become in Oregon
There-is-no-need-to-apologize. They-were-right-californians-are-raising-housing-prices-and-increasing-traffic.
Born a third generation Oregonian (on mom's side; dad's side left Prineville to live in Alaska for awhile, so that's where he was born). Entered the military in 2012; just got medically retired. I have absolutely no way to afford moving back to my hometown (Woodburn); housing is nuts. Even with a VA loan, I'm skeptical I'll get approved for the prices of a single family home (And forget renting). And the tax levels and crime rates make it hard to justify the expenditure.
My wife's from Arizona, and proposed we move there. She and my in-laws call me crazy when I tell them I'm dubious about moving to yet another state being overrun by Californians: "Oh, that would never happen here!", as Californians flock to Arizona in droves.
Might go back to Alaska, or stay here in Montana, I dunno. But I can't afford Oregon, and that makes me sad.
Funny thing is modern conservatives would hate Tom McCall as much as they hate any liberal today.
Californians don’t have to be class colonialist those. It would be akin to moving into your own home and taking it over just because you have more money
Calvert DeForest on Border Control?
Funny, fake, but funny! Oregoners love Californians!! They're all kiss'n cousins...
Well, this fellow must have retired since it seems the whole of San Francisco has moved to Oregon, and with them their liberal movement😝
Funny considering it's a bunch of right wing shits that own the property companies
@@NorthwestDevistator That is propaganda, they actually are progressive liberal elitists like Ted Wheeler and his ilk.
Renaming SW Stark DownTown to Harvey Milk was their Arc d'Triumph, the failed palm trees at Tom McCall waterfront park was the attempted Arc for the L.A. invaders.
Bonnie dunlap
Great beer, great progressive state!
The sad irony is they tore down the brewery to make room for condominiums.
I remember smelling it just across Burnside.
Me too.
For elitist Californians no less.
@@silasmarner7586 oh man, that smell😆 I had forgotten about that
