You could have thrown in some Annihilators. The Shadow cannons work pretty well to take out Aleks or Hyperion, while they also push ground. Of course what won this was the enemy focusing air, so Nova pushed ground right into their base. So this worked too.

You could have pulled your carriers back and put a double line of mirage, all air based threats and the alek pulling you in would have been a non issue
