    We’ve all been there. 😂

This is precisely why I’ve decided I’ll never sell or trade another guitar, ever. After selling my 1st SG & ES-335 for Harley money, a 1957 ES-225, traded a 2007 ES-175 & then traded my 1st Les Paul Custom I will never sell or trade another guitar again. I had an American Strat in tri-burst that I outright sold years ago but I don’t regret that one as much as I do all the Gibson’s I’d sold or traded over the years. It was that 2001 LP Custom that was the last straw though.

It's weird how long it takes you to understand things like that though haha I feel like all of us go through it because of temporary GAS 😅

I did the exact same thing as you with a Gibson SG - bought it without really playing it first and then freaked out that I wasn’t good enough of a player and sold it. I often wonder where that guitar is today!

Aww that's too bad. SGs are such killer instruments!

My wife told me I’m not allowed to sell any of my guitars anymore because of one I sold 4 years ago that I still regret.

Haha I'm assuming that's a good thing though no? How do you feel about it? 😅

@@alexradsby yeah it’s good. Sometimes I want to upgrade and the only justification in my head is to sell a guitar beforehand. For some reason we all have that voice. Where does it come from?

@@mralgebro I think mainly to save space or that somehow that its dumb owning multiple of the same thing? Most normal people thinks that 1 guitar is enough which it really isn't for a lot of guitarists 😅

In the seventies I bought a 1967 Gibson SG Standard with the long Maestro trem (was in beautiful condition) which I sold for peanuts!
I had an 1982 Les Paul Deluxe in wine red and Washburn Eagle in white stolen from my apartment, (loved that Washburn)
And sold an 1982 Fender Stratocaster Elite with active pickups and a 1978 Les Paul Custom in Sunburst, all with genuine original cases!
    Stupid, stupid,stupid!😢

Damn that's sad to hear. I've always wanted a wine red deluxe. They look stunning to me! Oh and the LP Custom too, damn 😅

@@alexradsby I bought the Custom and the active Strat with the insurance money from the stolen guitars.
They were unfortunately sold during the 90’s when guitars were not in great demand to fund house renovations for a fraction of what they would be worth now!
Have never sold a guitar since and never will!
Am up to 11 now including a bass….With more acquisitions needed! Lol

Haha I think we all realize in the end that it's usually not worth selling gear unless its to move upwards towards more premium or custom made instruments. Im definitely fine with my 10 guitars I have now. That's only electrics haha. 😅

I traded a gibson explorer melodi maker for a blackstar 100 watt solid state amp..... really really stupid

Man, the first guitar I ever wanted besides a Tom Delonge signature strat (Which ended up being my first electric) was a Walnut 72 Tele Deluxe. I ended up getting one years later. I had it for years and just RECENTLY sold it. I kept it stock. Great guitars for the money. I've since started transitioning to more Les Pauls, which is why I sold it. However, I did build a Billie Joe Armstrong tribute tele deluxe just like the one's he played during the trilogy era, so I technically still have a "tele deluxe" haha! I'm sure I'll regret selling the walnut at some point.

    • @alexradsby

Ah nice! Everyone should own a tele deluxe at some point for sure! 🙂

I didn't sell my favorite guitar but it was unfortunately stolen and it's was an Orville Les Paul Custom in black back in 2019. When it was found by the police a couple of months later and brought back to me it had these stupid little switches, a Kahler bridge, and worst the front was given a poor satin finish that I couldn't even take that guitar back.

@@alexradsby Tell me about, the only good thing was I was able to get the amount I paid for it back through legal means and bought an Orville Les Paul Standard since the Customs are out of my price range.

My cousin is a professional guitarist, and his main guitar is Gibson Les Paul, Custom Ebony whit gold hardware, I think you would really like it, because you like expensive guitars 😉 this one costs around 4.500 euros 😉🙃

Haha I like normal budget guitars as well man but i wouldn't say no to a guitar like that for sure 😝
