Of course, when they have total control in 30 years, they'll also force white people to eat nothing but cold water and leek. P.S. Interestingly, something trendy right now in England is German Doner Kebab. It came out of nowhere in the 2010s by the seems of it. I thought Germans bad? Germans good now? The problem with critics reviewing the film is; they can't really review it. What do they say about it? It's not like Matt is actively advocating anything, so they can't slam him for his words. If they slam someone for speaking dumb shit, it'll be the people grifting in there talking shit. It'll be like saying those anti-racists are full of crap. That's why nobody wants to review it, any bad they find in the film comes as a result of picking up the blatant hypocrisies, obvious grifting and just plain old shit talking from the left. As Matt hasn't been going around with a mic in his hand actively saying anything to the contrary, he was just letting those people dig their own graves and go lie down in it. How do you review that without admitting that the people you supposedly side with is full of crap?

Does the term "racist" even mean anything anymore? It's used so much that when I hear anyone called this I think the opposite. The person screaming the word is the racist.
What is a woman wasn’t a comedy. The material was extremely serious, and it resulted in real societal change and laws being passed. This film is clearly different in its goal and subject matter.
TLP makes a great point: if these people are serious about their cause, they should be actively going against the con artists who monetize "the movement" for their own financial gain. But now I think about it... perhaps they can't. Because, if they did, they'd realize that "the movement" is nothing but a grift. Worth considering.
The woman who kept her Mickey Mouse word salad 'Doctorate' in anti-whiteness studies despite convincing evidence that she plagiarised it? Yeah, sure she gave the free money to a right-on charity.
He’s different than Borat in terms of his intended target. Borat would frequently target normal people and make them the butt of the joke. But Walsh makes these elitist grifters the butt of the joke, and when he’s talking to normal people then HE is the butt of the joke. It’s a nuanced play. Agree that this is intended as a comedy while “What is a Woman” was not. In that film, Walsh is an interviewer who springs a trap, so to speak, and challenges people. In this one, he plays a character and believes everything that he’s told.
Jeremy Jahns is a true critic. I was lukewarm on him early in his career, but he has won my support over the years as he has matured in his critical views. Heck, he’s one of the only critics I know who even went out to watch the Book of Mormon movie that people from my church made (and yes, even we agree that movie is a humongous turd), so he’s clearly open to try watching anything. Good on him for taking the hit on this movie. He gets to keep his integrity in my eyes.
What's possibly working in Jeremy Jahn's favor is that he doesn't really have many social media sites, and active ones at that. The first rule in beating cancel culture is acknowledging some of it in the first place. What better way to avoid the noise than living away from it? I'm not joking when I say Walsh has done more PR for Jeremy than JJ himself. I somehow wouldn't be too surprised if most of his little boost of subscribers is from the DW crowd

One thing that I have learned as a quiet conservative is that if you don’t know someone’s political leanings, it’s because they are conservative. We aren’t allowed to talk about what we really think in our regular lives. The best we can do to maintain integrity is to NOT endorse the left wing stuff.
One of my co-workers and I tend to eat lunch together; we go hide in the theater at the office we work at, shut the door, and talk politics for about 20 minutes. 'What is A Woman?' wasn't supposed to be a comedy. 'Am I Racist?' isn't a comedy. But the subject matter is absolutely laughable. What bubble are these DEI leaders living in not to have even recognised Walsh ??
Am I Racist? Was intended to be a comedy/mockumentary. What is a Woman? was played as a straight documentary.
That's a really good point. It really exposes how they literally are in a cult when they are not allowed to even know about the "naughty" things out there.

Drinker is right. Walsh is hilarious in a dead pan way. Partially because he’s so serious yet hes talking about topics like anime.
American humor was only really sarcastic in the '90s, when we had characters like Darlene Conner and Chandler Bing on television and making it popular.
Before then, and since then? Americans struggle with dryness... and it seems like a lot of people even struggle to have a basic human interaction anymore since the pandemic. It's downright depressing.
And this dry way of talking is exactly how people defend his bad takes
Walsh made a bad take? Well that was just a joke. You just didnt notice cause he said it like he says everything without a punchline
Cultural Sensitivity: You can eat their food, but not wear their clothes.
Leftist answer: eating their food supports their business, which you MUST do.
At least, I'm 90% certain that's the logic.
Keeping up with a leftist is like trying to keep up with Bolt on the track. It's impossible.
As if reviewers would actually tackle any argument and wouldn't superficially miscontrue the movie. They won't review it because they don't want to give it exposure imo

Don't tell that to Jon Stewart. He believes that if boy is called a sissy they should get a sex change.

But Walsh makes these elitist grifters the butt of the joke, and when he’s talking to normal people then HE is the butt of the joke. It’s a nuanced play.
