For only doing this for 2 months, you're doing great! I would suggest to add the "Fixture Arms" from HoopMaster as it would make your experience even that much more quicker and easier.

Good video, but I suggest using a tack down stitch vs. the topping and use tearway vs. cutaway. Also make tic marks where to slide the beanie to., rather than the ruler. This will speed the process up. I’m currently working on a 30,000+ beanie order, doing similar to your process, with these few changes you can definitely speed up the process.
Haven’t done beanies before but will use this method.
