- Background story- She’s transgender. Her dad died so she became a little depressed. Then Arina’s sister (Aubrey) found out that Arina was transgender and Aubrey started to make fun of Arina. Aubrey’s boyfriend was the one that told Aubrey that her sister (Arina) was transgender and was abusing and marking fun of Arina. Arina became more depressed. And Arina decided to cut her hair and become a boy. And moved out cause she couldn’t take all the abuse at home.
The main theme of the story- “Don’t bully someone because they aren’t straight.” “Love them the way they are” ❤️❤️

That’s how you know someone doesn’t understand parenthood. No matter what (to a parent) that kid, in this case, is/“was” their daughter. It never quite changes but that doesn’t mean they aren’t proud 😂

I love this song... my friend loved it. It makes me happy because she was my best friend and sad because I moved from her at the same time. She knew my story, but we had to move away.
My story:
PLEASE READ THIS WHOLE THING.
It started when my mom was pregnant with me. My dad would go out to clubs and get high, leaving my mom with no money at home. He started to get abusive to her when I was born. She hid it from me and my brother, but I could tell. One day he choked her until she passed out. He also hit my brother so hard that child protection services (CPS) was called. Then, a few years later, we moved to New Mexico. My dad overdosed on drugs and passed out the the floor. My mom called 911 and he got taken to the hospital. This was at about 5: 00 in the morning, me and my brother were asleep we we heard crying from my mom. We woke up and the police were here. Dad had injected himself with a needle. We stayed hidden in the room until the police were gone. My mom was crying. He promised me when he got home that he would never do drugs again. But that was a lie. He still did them. A few days later, my mom found another girl’s panties in the dirty clothes pile. He would torture me and my brother so bad by abusing us that we were scared of him. Every time he came home we would flee to our room and hide. Every time dad walked in the room, it was like a blanket of pain, anger, frustration, and manipulation fell over us. Dad one night punched mom for no reason. He would beat her a lot. He would also eat more of our food and steal our chore money to buy drugs. Time skip a few months later: we had been kicked out of our home because we couldn’t pay the rent and were living in a hotel. This is where my dad overdosed again and went to the hospital... again... my mom tried to run away with us and our stuff but we had to go back. He had stolen her wallet and we had nowhere to stay so we had to go back to him. Another few weeks later, we had planned an escape from the monster (my dad.) We informed the school and they gave us a food and water bag to help us through the escape. We had little time since he would be home from work. He hurriedly packed our stuff and threw it in the car. We drove to Amarillo, Texas to stay with my grandma and grandpa for a few days. Then we drove to my mom’s friend’s house and stayed with them for a few months. Then we drove to our aunts’ house and are staying with them. We are still here and life is better. People at my new school call me ugly and are extremely mean to me. Constantly. But I am still suffering from mental illnesses like Post-Traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, depression, body dysmorphia (you think you are ugly and fat, which I do. I think I am ugly and fat, people at my new school even say so, too), and I also am suicidal because of how much he abused me and my family. I have gotten very close to killing myself multiple times. I cry silently at night and as you may have noticed, my eyes are almost always blank and I rarely smile. All my smiles are fake. I have cried silently so much I can’t cry out loud. In fact I can barely cry. And I’m only 9, but I don’t say that because people are gonna make jokes about ‘all these kids thinking they are depressed when they are not, haha’ no. Depression is a real mental illness.
