- In this video I talk about using colours and finding what colours speak to clearly to us and how we can use this to help us problem solve and overcome issues in our journals. I share free printable sheets for you from my website to use in your journal, some basics of colour theory and the meanings of various colours as well as an intuitive exercise to help connect you with colour.

Thank you Nancy!! I am glad that you found it interesting :) For me, I know that I reject orange bc there are aspects about that colour that I find challenging. Orange is a very emotionally charged colour and I am not very good at feeling my feelings. i like to talk about how I feel but I am not great a actually allowing the feelings to come up. So, after some reading it makes to me why orange is a challenge for me. I hope that if I work with orange and bring more orange into my life, it can me be better at feeling the feelings. If that makes sense. Red definitely helps make me feel more grounded if I am having a bad day or if I am mentally chaotic. Maybe the red card you picked wants you to see how you feel when you add red to your journal...if you find it in any way helpful. I LOVE this stuff!! I would be curious if you like a red/purple or if you are attracted to a more blue/purple. Enjoy the chart!! Hugs xo

I absolutely loved this video. I took a color theory class in college and it was an amazing class.
My favorite color at this point later in my life is all shades of purple and blues.
I don’t have any colors that I dislike.
I would love to see you do more videos on color if you choose to do so. ✨💜✨
Awwwww, thank you! That is very kind of you. We took colour theory too and it was fascinating. Right now my colour is red but I lean heavy on purple or turquoise as well. I struggle w orange as I mentioned but I do incorporate in many ways in my day. I have an orange water bottle that I use to remind me of the glory of orange LOL! Thank YOU for watching and being here. Yes, the response has been good and ill do more of these colour videos for sure :)
Interesting! I selected brown. I like brown! It feels calming to me and I love all the shades together and in nature. I definitely need more time outside to blow out the cobwebs in my brain! Thank you for the fun printables,, I can see adding them to journals would be fun with some of the hundreds of paint chips I've collected! 😆
Ooooooh that is interesting! I think brown gets a bad rap bc it is a very rich and luxurious colour. It is calming and does bring us a sense of calm and peace. I have to admit, I wouldn't decorate w it and I most likely wouldn't wear brown but maybe I need to rethink my attitude towards this colour. I don't get outside as much as I should either. Out of all colors I love red, purple, and all shades of pink. 😃For some reason I absolutely hate the color blue😟. It’s fascinating to me that the color black is so exciting to me 🖤 this video was wonderful and interesting.
That is veeeeeeery interesting! I think you are the first person to tell me that they don't like blue. Fascinating!! Do you have any clues as to why?? I am all over reds and pinks too. @@ilaandalice the only things I can think of is that we painted our bedroom blue in our house we lived in as well as the bathroom and after 15 years I got tired of it. Now, we’ve been in our custom built home and the only thing that is blue is our son’s old bedroom. We plan to have our carpeting redone soon. The blue will be gone ☺️
I took a colorology class many years ago. The best class I’ve even attended. I learned so much. It’s amazing to me how colors affect your moods and health actually Please please continue on with this, loved this video a bunch. Hope you’ve had a great weekend.
Awwww, thank you Sandi!! I will for sure. I should look around and see if there is a colour course out there that I could take to refresh what I learned in college and read on the internet. It is so much fun and VERY interesting. Colour effects so much of our lives. It makes me sad just how much live live their lives in greys and beiges. It's not good for the soul.

I had a boss once who wore black everything. Even her pj's were black. I think she thought it made her look sophisticated and "rich". It is fascinating what people are attracted to and why. If you saw me on the street you would think I got dressed in a dark room and had no sense of style. It is one thing I have let go bc I work at home. BUT! I have been thinking a lot about this. I went to fashion school and spent the majority of my life enjoying clothing and expressing myself that way. I need to get back at it. I just hate how the fit in clothing now is so poor. Anyhow, I have been thinking about what colours I would like to wear. Definitely not orange LOL!
@@ilaandalice my ex daughter in law wears black All the time. All black always. And she wonders why people never talk to her like they do me., It’s because she appears to be unapproachable, which I told her and apparently she wants to be that way. Urgh. Lol
