That grass to rope things sounds really cool.
I watched a video on how they make the rope. We are going to try it, but I’m not sure it is going to work.
So glad she came out with this one. It looks great.
I'm so excited for this. It will be our first Campfire Curriculum study that we are doing. Thank you so much for providing great information about this company and it's products.
You will have to let me know how you guys like it. They are an amazing company.
Thanks for this video! I just bought both Thanksgiving units to use with my kids.
This looks awesome!!! We often celebrate thanksgiving even though we aren’t in the USA!!! We often come back to lessons if we don’t have the time!!! I like my kids to have a full understanding!!! We’ve used food as connections and my kids loved it!!!
Yes! So glad you did this video. I was wanting a really good look inside so I know what I’m buying.
I just printed this week and got in binders today. Can’t wait to start Monday.
As much as we ADORE Gather Round... We just tried our first Campfire Curriculums unit and it worked SO much better for my kiddo. We still love Gather Round but I will be mixing them up from now on. Taking longer breaks between GR units and doing these in between. ❤️
That’s exactly what we discovered this year. My son loves Campfire Curriculums.
@@HomeSweetHomeschoolLife we have been doing Through the Eyes of a Vet and it's been amazing.
I am so thankful that you do these flip throughs. They are so helpful.
Love this!! Thanks for the awesome flip through. I am heading to their site to buy now.
I went to the site and noticed there is another thanksgiving unit also and it says these compliment each other. Do you happen to know why it says “out of stock?” So I wasn’t able to see how that one was different.
I keep spying these units. I still have yet to buy one bc I’ve bought too much this year already…before I changed my mind on how we were going to do things. 😂
I believe it is being released tomorrow. They have been sick with COVID, so the date got pushed back a little.
When you do unit studies, do you put pause on other curriculum ???
We use the units as our core, but I do know other families that pause their core curriculum to do a unit.
What a fantastic flip through! As a newbie (this will be our first Campfire Curriculums unit) I'm so grateful to you for taking the time to make this video! 🤗 This looks impressively thorough: in your opinion, is it beefy enough to serve as our spine (just adding math) for the next three weeks? We typically use GR as our spine, but this gap in our calendar seems the perfect time to try out CC!
Thank you so much for watching. I am so happy it was helpful. I feel like it is enough with the Core Connections. However, lessons 10-15 do not have the Core Connections, so you may want to add something those lessons.
I’ve been so on the fence as to which Thanksgiving unit to grab from this company for this year. It’ll be our first time using them and we just started US History 1 mini unit with Gather Round. My kiddo is in 2nd grade and my preschooler listens in at times. Suggestions?! Lol 😅
Also thank you for your video ☺️☺️.
This unit really goes into the story of Thanksgiving and what happened, who was involved, etc. The Giving Thanks unit is focused on Gratitude.
How many pages does this unit have? If we want the color prints but if we do not have a color printer, would Kinkos/FedEx the best option or do you have any other recommendations? Just trying to figure out how much the printing would cost. Thank you for posting this video.
I believe they recommended the Homeschool Printing Company and Family Nest Printing. It has 121 pages.
Are the core connections only for a few lessons???
They go through Lesson 9 in this unit since lessons 10-15 are optional.
Is this too advanced for 8 and 7 year old?
Not at all. When you purchase, you will receive every level of their guidebooks. You will be able to look through each level and choose the right one for them.
I am doing it right now for my 7 year old and he loves listening to the story and extra info and videos. My kid does the experiments in the core connections just for fun and extra. He also does the crafts from the younger readers book as suggested. It’s my first Campfire unit and am very impressed.
Are their Thanksgiving planners in both? I can't decide which one I want to do.
The Thanksgiving planner is only in the In the Season of Giving Thanks.
We completed lesson 4 of this unit today and we LOVE it! We did the Resurrection study last year and it was great, but we did the bare minimum because we were busy with other curriculum. This month we are using Campfire as our core for our youngest 4 children, ages 7-13. I absolutely love it! Including the Core Connections. I’m finally excited about school again! ❤
This makes me so happy for your family!
@@HomeSweetHomeschoolLife thank you for being so faithful to share about these beautiful resources! I’ve been watching your videos for a while, but have watched a ton lately!
