This video saved me fr cuz like it seems like the GIS community likes to play fast and loose with the order of operations, every source I consulted about this process had the brackets of the equations in different places 😭anyway tysm and gb 🙏
I have doubt that my study area is large ,I have to combine to image bands to get single image but I have a doubt regarding the value of two different band values.
thank you very much. this is very informative. I tried doing it for my native island of Leyte in the Philippines but it results in a very unrealistic high max LST and very low min LST. I retried doing the steps provided like 8 times already and still shows the same results. Can you try doing it? See if i made a mistake somewhere.
Excuse me, I have a problem generating the BT variable because it gives me temperature range data that is too high and I cannot correct it, it is in lansat 9, I would appreciate some guidance
My solve was: i was working with landsat 9 c2lv2, what supposedly already have the reflectance and radiometric correction for the Bands (but still need processing), so i just multiply the band rasters images for the number on the metadata (the metadata in the USGC manual site), bassically i multiply the raster "((Band 10 * 0.00341802 + 149)-273.15)". to get temeperature data in celsuis, even so, i stil getting values a bit extreme. the LST on the lansat satellite calculate I think is just an approximationFor more precise data, it is necessary to use sensors at smaller scales, such as flying drones or something like that. the metadata i refere is here: www.usgs.gov/media/files/landsat-8-9-collection-2-level-2-science-product-guide
"Thank you for preparing such a beautiful and detailed video. It was very helpful in completing my work."
hi i was wondering did you do any radiometric correction before calculate the LST?

why we should use the constants (like 0.00115 and 1.4388) for calculating LST? and why we use the constants 0.004 and 0.986 for calculating emission?

Hi sir, may I know did you do the pre-process image (atmosphere correction and geometric correction) before you do the LST calculation?
just download c2 l2, read DOI.
Why we use wavelenght 0.0015?

hi hve u solve it i am facing the same problem kindly pls help

I'm facing the same problem
Hey brother you get solution this problem
Check the histogram of the BT raster and cut out outliers by adjusting the breaks to start and stop within the normal distribution bell shape
Can I get this formula sheet ?
you can get from usgs product data file, MTL
file
i am getting a error
this is not LST you still need correction
