Promising revenge yes, because many of them were treated well by Pergozhin, they liked murdering innocent people. Many have been with him for awhile and feeling betrayed by Ruzzia. There is also pro-Kyiv Russians who have videos out asking these mercs, if its revenge they want, then join them (in Ruzzia) and either continue fighting from within with them, or join Ukraine in the fight (only if they have not committed war crimes against Ukrainians). Then after they would march the whole way to Moscow. They could possibly get all the conscripts who survived the meat grinder to turn to their side too. That would be a civil war right there. Putler would never be able to hide that and would most likely be his downfall. As so many were saying at the start, the only way Putler would go down was from within.

    Great pod today guys, thanks!
There is always the option of sanctions placed on those countries helping Ruzzia skirt sanctions or support in their war. But I think, what the countries like Poland, Germany and others who DO export to the Stans, should decrease their exports to what it was prior to the war. If the Stans want to keep rerouting exports to Ruzzia, it will have to come from their own stocks. Which I am sure, their own people would not be too happy to see half empty shelves. So this in itself would lessen the exports Ruzzia does get from the west. It would be ideal to do this with ALL countries that are friendly with Ruzzia. I am shocked (not really) and appalled that Turkey is skirting the sanctions and still trading with Ruzzia ... 😡

    • @MsSquirl00
      @MsSquirl00 Рік тому

@@buddyrojek9417 Ruzzia called it a 'special military operation' (under false pretenses) for a reason. So they can invade without receiving incoming. So basically, 1 sided in his benefit. This is what Putler has done in over 23+ yrs to all the countries he has invaded or assisted in coups. If he declared it a war, the countries he invaded were able to mobilize many more troops and have legitimate reasons to attack IN Ruzzia.
Ukraine won't call it a war because then Ruzzia will mobilize even more troops as well AND Putler will be justified in using ALL weapons at their disposal, including bio, chemical and nuclear.
Again ... this is why Putler invades so much without declaring war, he likes tying their hands behind their backs and bending them over when he feels like it, because there is not much they can do about it other than usually roll over and take it.
They were NOT counting on Ukraine having a backbone this time, or western support finally not looking the other way. THIS is why Putler controls other countries around their borders, because they are too scared to stand up to them thinking they will be alone in their fight against the largest country in the world. Being a bully, a warmonger and a DICKtator, Putler has served Ruzzia well in the fact that most of that population are proud of the control they have.

Personally, I hope he doesnt, for many reasons.
If he did, there are many supporters in Ruzzia and he could end up being the next President. He is a cold blooded killer and as evil and vile the little man Putler is, he is the lesser of 2 evils.
If he was to come back, his mercs would not be so vengeful and might just go off to Africa and forget about Ruzzia which I personally would like to see a civil war there.
Having Pergozhin gone stirs up anger and hatred for Putler/Kremlin and those seeking revenge are more likely to turn Putlers world upside down. In doing so, Ukraine stands a better chance of them being distracted and can take back all their land sooner rather than later.

A lot of it is not really to have complete cutoffs, but just to drive up the costs and slow down the amount. They are also buying $1000 refrigerators, shipping them through 2 or 3 extra countries at huge cost, all to rip out a $25 circuit board. If for example Cadbury are selling in massive increases of Whisper chocolate bars to other countries who in turn trade them with\to Russia thereby circumventing the sanctions, then with the Russian Rubble in its very poor state is having to pay for these items and many others at a very disadvantaged exchange rate. Therefore, the sanctions are working and possibly working very well, by maintaining output trade from European companies and draining the Russian economy from the excessively expensive products. The policy should be: 1) take 1 proven case of import of something important (eg. airplane parts). 2) announce sanctions against (a) country which let it happen, or (b) bank which performed the payments, or (c) the company that arranged it all.
Putting up sanctions against entire countries may be too severe, and governments there may be unable to control actions of unscrupulous importers. Case (c) is also not effective, as such transactions are likely done via ghost companies just created for this purpose a week prior and disbanded after. But case (b) - punishing unscrupulous banks - is very doable and effective. Setting up “ ghost banks” is not easy, so real, established banks are used. Banks know what such transactions are for ( totals are in millions of dollars ), and the mechanism is simple and reliable - cut them off from SWIFT, or impose penalties on their transactions.
And yes - Swiss banks - get ready. Aiding Russia has to stop!

The solution of the sanctions not working can not be solved by lowering the price cap. Russia's ghost fleet is now importing oil at 70 dollars per barrel. The only solution is for Ukraine to start sinking oilers with their drones in the Black Sea. This will cause a large increase in insurance rates, which will relower the price per barrel.

I thought food was not sanctioned against Russia because it would hurt ordinary Russian people?
    Mondelez says on its website:
There are no easy decisions, but, like most other global food and beverage companies, we are continuing to provide food during these challenging times, focusing our operations in Russia on affordable, shelf-stable products that are daily staples for ordinary people.
Maybe chocolate bars aren't staples, and I agree. But I'm far more concerned with military or dual purpose equipment getting through thsn flipping Whisper bars. I don't have anything against Russian people, only the murderous thug in the Kemlin and his lickspittles.

According to the mainstream Ukraine keeps launching massive attacks, yet as a matter of fact, keeps losing regions at the same time. Just endorse the principle of auto determination of people and there would be only 2 independent areas from Ukraine in Donbass. It's quite simple: exacerbating war and the contrast NATO/Russia, avoiding diplomatic resolutions and dialogue is a) not democratic, b) unsuccessful. Anything else it's propaganda.
