  • Great folky garage rocker released on Jamie in 1966. This is an excellent two-sider, with a real Yardbirds-ish rave-up instro on the flip!! Audio transfered from original vinyl 45.

    A firecracker. A sparkler. A jangler.
    Such a groovy song that couldn't make it nationally.
    Well, Glendiras gives you a chance to hear how cool this lost record really is and it's a two-sider.

    Why don't classic rock radio stations never play this stuff?

    • @davewilliams874
      @davewilliams874 4 роки тому +4

      Because 99% of all Americans would rather play it safe and listen to trash like Fleetwood Mac one more time, rather than, y'know, exposing themselves to something DIFFERENT. And program directors, if they want to keep their jobs, have no choice but to follow suit. Sad.

      Even the oldies stations stick to the same-o same-o stuff

      Classic rock stations play the same old songs or certain songs. They don't bother to dig deep. They are predictable and that gets boring.
      Even though I said all that, I still listen to my favorite classic rock station, WDRV "The Drive" 97.1 Chicago radio.
      "OLDY" stations are the same way.
      You can hear some one hit wonders and other cool stuff and some garage rock but they barely scratch the surface.
      I never hear this kind of underground garage on oldies stations in Chicago.
      If Glendiras was a radio station, it would be my go to station and
      MEAN MOJO MATHIAS would be my favorite DJ ☮️

      Glendoras // DJ Mean Mojo Mathias My grandmother gave me her 45 collection and this is among them. Always thought cleaning this up a bit and strengthening the low end would do wonders. Unleashing the great bass line would send this into the stratosphere.

      sedagive3 Cool you got the 45. It sounds fabulous to play it out loud in a rock club with a good system. I’m usually negative towards digital remastering of old tunes that already sounds fine in my ears. But I got the 45 and shouldn’t complain. 😉

      Mate, you can fiind lots of original copies in greatt shape for a few bucks. It doesn't need to be spoiled with a digitally remastered shit. You can enjoy this two killers with their original esplendor without spending a fortune.

      @@Glendoras i totally agree with you bass on analogue records can be massive unlike digital tech which massively restricts it.also how much of the original recordings has some tone deaf digital engineer carried out ???.im a guitarist a dam fine one on a good day lol but no digital reissue sounds better than a quality 45 especially mono 45,s.the don format for vinyl equed louder its unbeatable.but the suits want everyone buying mp,3,s its their biggest earner & truthfully.the only reason 97% of new vinyl reissues are pointlessly digital is because they dont want you to realise analogue is far far superior.so they pay someone to compress the life out of it & remove anything that makes digital tech look limited.so musical history is not respected what so ever a sad fact many greedy labels know great post peace...
