For size 1 - 2 years use a 4mm crochet hook
For size 2 - 3 years use a 4.5mm crochet hook
For size 3 - 4 years use a 5mm crochet hook
For size 4 - 5 years use a 5.5mm crochet hook
For size 5 - 6 years use a 6mm crochet hook
For my shoes I used a 4mm crochet hook and Drops Lima yarn (DK weight).

I'm not sure if you even check this anymore but I wanted to tell you how much I have learned from you. I was diagnosed with breast cancer 3 years ago so I picked back up my crocheting and it has been a great help. I'm making all my Christmas gifts this year and it has given me purpose. You are so easy to follow. Thank you for sharing your gift.
Thank you your tutorial helped me make a pair of booties for my granddaughters 2nd birthday
Your tutorial deserves 5 stars! Not only are your directions clear and visible, they are given just in time, preventing any errors. You made it possible for me to even increase a size since your pattern is pure logic. Thank you so much!
Hey. How did you manage to increase the size? I want to make for my 7yr old boy.
@@merrypauly9395 just use a bigger hook with the same stitch count and the size will increase
Great work and great instructor
Excellent tutorial. So simple even I can do it! Ha ha ha. These are adorable. Thank u.
Cute pattern and very clear, easy directions to follow! Used a J hook for a 5 year old to wear, so hopefully they will fit my sweet granddaughter! 😊 Thanks so much!
LOVE this!!! Other than basic cloths, this is the first thing that I haven’t gotten frustrated with and quit! Thank you sooo much for explaining things in a way that self taught noobs can understand and follow!!! I learned two new stitches! Anyone new like me- it’s easier if you switch colours like she is lol less back counting and trying to figure out when your first stitch of a new row was. Love it- subscribed!!
I love your tutorials. You are a wonderful instructor. So clear and precise. Thank You!
Thank you ! I love this pattern and your walk through is so nice to follow as well.

Thankyou for your patience.. Your style is very clear and loud enough to understand. I was able to make booties for my husband's God sons.
+Vanessa Bill Thank you! That is great! x
WoolyWondersCrochet would you be able to advice on how to I can use 5mm and normal yarn to make booties for my daughter who is size 5 UK 🇬🇧, I made the shoe but came out small about couple of inches
You were amazing with your tutorial very visable, very thorough and I just love the pattern. Thank you so much for explaining beautifully - I'm a beginner and after many attempts at other patterns settled on yours and am delighted with the outcome.

+Twinkey G. Thank you x
i loved your vide o,you explain very patiently, how to alter the sizes according to yarn is still a trial and error, would like more clarity on that. Thanks
I love this, thank you for easy tutorial!
Hi. This is Naomi from Israel. A friend of mine just gave birth! I have just finnished a pair of these baby shoes as a present! I think she will adore them. Don't you?
Adorable and seem to look like would be a fast pattern. ❤
I used a thinner yarn because that is what I had available and the shoe turned out too small. I wanted to make them for my grandson. I am not good at judging the size since I am new with crocheting. But, these are really adorable. Mine turned out more for a 1 year old probably. I am going to have to figure out how to do the sizing. My grandsons are 3 and 6, so, I figured they would fit one of them. I would consider these to be more of a baby shoe. But, they are adorable and am sure I will find a good use for them. I also loved your video. You are so easy to follow and to understand. Some of the others are not good at showing you how to do it and they are hard to follow. So, thank you for making your instructions easy to follow and for showing how to do them in a way that is easy to do.
How do I make a smaller pair and a little bit bigger size for a 5year old. Love this one
I love it...I took 4mm coz my baby is 8months old but her height is equal to 1yr old child...it helped me a lot
Just finished a pair of booties. Came out very nice. The thickness of yarn definitely affects size of shoe.
COOL BEANZZZ!!!
love this video, easy to follow.i will try 1pair.thank you
+beth clefs thank you, good luck with your shoes! x

Thank you so much for doing this video, for the last 5 months I’ve been trying to crochet booties by learning off other videos but to no avail did I get pass the sole part. So with your video I FINALLY did it, thank you once again x
I love your ascent and don't mind the people who don't
So Long .
It’s not the accent, it’s her bloody tone. It’s hope you’d talk to a simpleton. It’s patronising and effing annoying.
Best video so far ...
Adorable first one done!!😍👍
Love you're work. Please don't stop making videos!😊
Thank you! I don't plan on stopping anytime soon! x
Hi,
I would like to know what would the finished shoe size be for 4-5 years size that you mentioned? I am planning to make one for my 4 yrs old daughter. Her shoe size is 9 in kids. Thanks!
Need to make some for gifts. Thanks so much!! :)

Best n easy video.....loved it....n thank u.....
superb video
u teach very well mam
Hihi, luv your video. May I know do I scale the crochet accordingly to the length of my baby's foot? Thks!
Thank for teaching....I did it
This was super helpful. I had to add more sts to the chain to get the size I wanted, the hook size changed didnt do much for me, but other than that mine turned out perfectly.
I made one for my 2-year-old with a 4.5 mm hook and it turned out to be too small. (Maybe she's got big feet.) However, it would be useful to have the sizes in mms or inches as well, if possible. Great tutorial, thanks so much for sharing this pattern. ... I made new ones with a 5 mm hook and they fit perfectly.
Hi. I would like to make one to my son the same size. Could you send me over the pattern what you used? Thanks
Simply gr8...loved it n....making...gifts..

I did these For My cousins youngest, and they're great! Thank you so much!

I have a question and I hope you can answer me. Can these be made and then the cuff gets longer and maybe ribbed? I made one and thought I can figure out how to make it ribbed on top. It would make such great boots!

.
Alisan80001 c
S Smith
Alisan80001, how old were your girls and did the shoes stay put? looking to make for 1 year olds, crawling and not yet walking.
The link don’t have these booties. I would like the pattern and do you have bigger kid sizes
nice video, we really like it.
Tickling Toddlers 90
I believe there is a problem with the chain counting right from the beginning. You said to cast on 9 chains plus the slip stitch. Then you proceed to state to skip 4 stitches and make 3 DC into the 4th chain and then make another single DC into the next 9 stitches. How is that possible unless you are either counting the first 3 double crochets as 3 stitches plus 9 = 12 sts in total. Please elaborate as I had to restart this project now 4 times in a row. Thank you :)
Can I get the written pattern of the different colour 4 to 7 year shoes
Is there a way to make adult size love the pattern,
Thanks thanks thanks
Thanks for this video... But i confused i made looks sames all left foot😅
Very easy to follow I'm on my third pair x
Thanks...s lot...!!!
Boa tarde! Gostaria da tradução para português, gostaria muito de fazer estes sapatinhos! Grata!
very good
Bellas. Como abuelita chilena quisiera gejersela a mi nietecita de 3 añitos. Es posible incluir su título en español por favor. Gracias
any ideas on how to make this in larger sizes like 7-8 year old size
LeighAnna Edwards In her description box it shows that each year is going up .5 hook size so 6-7 years would be 6.5mm and then 7-8 would be 7mm
Krista Flowers thank you. I thought so just don't have a 7mm hook I'm guessing I would have to use a thicker yarn as well.
LeighAnna Edwards I would think that would work, doesn't hurt to try ☺
ok thank you !
LeighAnna Edwards thick yarn and a bigger crochet hook would definitely make a bigger size !
what if you wanted to make these for a newborn?
What is the yarn made of?
nice
I make these for my baby cousin
Hailey me too !!
One yr baby k liye kitna chain lena hoga
Does the weight of the yarn matter to do this please ? X
Would I be able to use a smaller hook to children 1 yrs old and younger? Or a 4mm as well for that?
+Brittany morris I have a tutorial for these shoes in baby sizes. Please see my crochet baby shoes playlist on my channel x
I need to do a toddler size 8 and size 9. Do you have any patterns for those please?
