    What about registration

    • @BDPRODUCTIONSCREW
      @BDPRODUCTIONSCREW  Рік тому

      Online registration is closed as of now, but you can buy day tickets ($35 on Fri/Sat and $20 on Sunday) or a weekend badge ($65) at the convention. The registration area should be located near coatcheck and ballroom area. Hope this helps!

      @@ghosttrainz4701 Anyone who paid online for pre-registration can pickup their tickets at the registration area. Will-call and new registrations take place there. They usually don’t ship tickets in the mail.

      Also forgot to mention that Thursday is the perfect day to pickup pre-registered tickets to avoid lines on Friday. It should occur from 6-8pm. There will be two separate lines for attendees who paid online or will pay in person, so the process will be faster.

    Hey sir, I'm am 17 years old and this will be my first G-fest ever, is 318 $ a good amount of spending cash for the dealers room? And what kinda bills should I bring all that in? 20s?

    • @BDPRODUCTIONSCREW
      @BDPRODUCTIONSCREW  Рік тому +2

      Hello there! $318 is a great amount for a first-time attendee, especially if you are getting anything from HG gashapon and Bandai Movie Monster Series to artwork/posters and kaiju-themed merch. $20 bills are ideal, imo. I hope this information helps, and that you enjoy your first G-Fest!

      @@BDPRODUCTIONSCREW Thank you for the answer sir. If it's not too much trouble, I was wondering if I could get an SHMA figure and maybe a movie monster series figure or two? Or maybe one xplus figure? Is that realistic?

    • @BDPRODUCTIONSCREW
      @BDPRODUCTIONSCREW  Рік тому +1

      @@gojira05 You’re welcome, friend! It’s no trouble at all! X-Plus figures go for over $300, so if you did bring $318 in total, you’d have $18 left for the rest of the con. The same could be said for certain SHMA figures, but SHMA Godzilla figures (i.e., Bio-Goji, Final Wars Goji, and 2002 Millennium Goji) would be close to retail ($93-$150), which fits in your budget. Depending on which Movie Monster Series you get (new, vintage, Godzilla Store Exclusive, etc.), the recent ones go between $30-$60 each depending on the vendors you visit in the Dealer’s Hall. Unless you’re going for early 80s, 90s, 2000s movie monster series, those will be a little more expensive than the current lineup of Bandai figures.

    • @gojira05
      @gojira05 Рік тому +1

      @@BDPRODUCTIONSCREW Damn- So basically get one Xplus or a good amount of movie monster series figures? 😂

    • @BDPRODUCTIONSCREW
      @BDPRODUCTIONSCREW  Рік тому +2

      @@gojira05 It do be like that sometimes 😂. I know one place does a raffle for a random X-Plus figure, so there’s a chance, albeit a small chance. Fortunately, the Dealer’s Hall has a lot to offer that accommodates any attendees’ budget. The good news is that everyone comes out with a combination of souvenirs (SHMA, MMS, HG, X-Plus, etc.). It depends on how much you are willing to bring back on a plane, car, or train. Bad-ish news is that there are a ton of vendors that offer awesome items that are hard to choose from and sell out fast. Last year, Friday was the big day to scout around, decide which vendors to visit, jot down a mental/physical list of items, and make a few transactions on said items. However, some booths surprise me with more souvenirs I haven’t seen before on Saturday and Sunday, so you’ll have to balance how much you spend per day.

      Hi! Sorry about the late response, but while G-Fest is a cool place to be, there are other kaiju-themed conventions and events happening more around the US. Many states are creating their own Godzilla toy shows and festivals, which is great for those who cannot attend G-Fest. I do not have an exact list down for the rest of the year, or the next, but I probably will make a video about it after this year's G-Fest.

      I am incredibly terrible at getting back to people after they comment on my comments, but I'm happy to hear that my videos on G-Fest can reach and inform people around the world. If there's a big enough Godzilla or Giant Movie Monster following in your area, they can start a small gathering/event!

    Hey one thing I still need to learn is how to get the tickets to g fest, I already got the hotel for next year and the plane tickets but for the g fest tickets are they sold online or in person?

    • @BDPRODUCTIONSCREW
      @BDPRODUCTIONSCREW  Рік тому

      Hi there! You can pre-register online or buy tickets at the con. www.g-festcon.com/ is the best link to stay updated on online registration when it's announced. It's cheaper to buy online than in person (save $10). The only downside is that you can only pick them up at the convention. That means no ticket/badge shipping to your address unless they will change that procedure for next year's event.
      If you want to buy tickets during the con via will-call, they only accept cash and are open from Fri-Sun (from my recollection). There used to be a Thursday night in-person registration, but they got rid of it this year. Also, prepare for lines. Last G-Fest had long lines for on-site registration, which led to lost time, time attendees would use to attend panels, dealer's hall, movie showings, etc.
      Hopefully, this info helps!

    Been going since the "olden times" of the first part of the 90s(aka G-Con) and it is just NOT the same. It is currently a gouge fest and you'd be best to just kick around ,search and compare prices. Other smaller conventions without the Godzilla name on it has dealers who carry kaiju items at cheaper prices.

    • @BDPRODUCTIONSCREW
      @BDPRODUCTIONSCREW  Рік тому

      You're not wrong with those statements. I agree that some dealers will overcharge on various figures, people search for which vendors have reasonable prices, and others prefer smaller conventions that offer better deals. However, G-Fest's gaming room, movie showings, costume contests, art shows, model room, and other activities provide an engaging alternative to attendees who want to do more than browse the Dealer's Hall during the weekend.
