- In this video I share my daily school routine as a Muslim mum of seven. The days when the kids are at school are full on, but alhamdulillah we make it work.

Keema Aloo (Mince & Potato) Recipe
500g Lamb Mince
600g Potatoes (Quartered)
2 Medium Onions (finely diced)
4 Tomatoes (diced)
1/2 tablespoon Salt
1 tablespoon Garlic & Ginger Paste
1 tablespoon each: Ground Cumin, Ground Coriander, Garam Masala, Ground Turmeric
1/2 teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
1 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
500ml Water
Coriander to garnish
Method
In a pan on medium heat, add the oil and mince and cook until brown.
Stir in the onions, and cook until soft and translucent.
Stir in the garlic and ginger paste, and add the salt and spices.
Add the tomatoes to the pan, stirring regularly, and cook for 5 minutes or until soft.
Add water. Bring pan to the boil. Turn heat down to low and cover pan with lid to allow the curry to cook on low heat for 25 minutes .Garnish with chopped coriander.
Serve with rice, chappati or naan :)

It's a compulsory thing. Without namaaz all the rest of the thing in the daily life wouldn't be running smoothly either.

This is going to sound weird (but I'm a southern Black woman in the U.S.), but I love that your college kids still live at home and you all are still growing together! Not something I see much in my neck of the woods. The college kids usually either stay on campus or have their own apartments.
In the UK some high schools are called colleges :)

In some cultures kids stay home till get married n hv their own families .

Please when putting water in a vase for flowers, don't fill it up that much. They only need a couple of inches otherwise the stems will rot and the flowers won't last as long x

Shamsa delicious foods but lower the carbs and processed foods because it’s very bad for children and you. Give them more protein fats and vegetables. For you instead of eating two breads eat one and try 100% whole-wheat bread or sourdough bread is even healthier.

Such a small amount of mince and potatoes to feed a family of 9! I would cook that amount cut 2 - 4 people. Nice to be such a frugal housekeeper.
