Oooh my friend just told me she saw the eclipse and I don’t want to miss it-now I’ll be able to assemble a eclipse viewer with stuff from home-thank you officer!
This works !! You can use a pringles container and it works less material!😊
This is interesting because it's basically just the directions for making a camera obscura
That's exactly right! You can actually do this same thing with most binoculars too and potentially get an easier to see projection, but obviously you shouldn't watch the eclipse directly through them without the correct lens filters.
Thank you. It worked!!!
I'm slightly afraid this is not going to work but if it does I am going to be giving this a 10/10
You're easily scared.
Don't risk your eyesight please don't take anyone's word on this video that it works just be safe alright seriously ❤I dont know u but I still care and want u to be careful . Dont do it alright dont risk your vision ❤
@@AllyssaFelder You're definitely a mom.
That’s you for this !!
When we were kids my dad would have us use his wilding goggles....lol.
Yup
?$$?#
Did they make you wild?
@@ialien2077 ?
@@ialien2077 I so missed that.
Autocorrect here is lame here for me. More typos than anywhere else.
Thanks for posting this!
That's cool. I just used a box with a tiny hole using a tac.
i have a question on what side do we see it
mine worked! thank u sm
Thank you!!
The sun doesn't emit more radiation just because there's an object in front of it. In fact, you would think that there would be less radiation reaching the Earth. Is it due to gravitational lensing?
@@tabula_rosa thank you Rosa so with that information. I imagine it's okay to briefly blink in that direction. Before it gets dark. Just as it is safe relatively to Blink at the Sun during normal situations.
@@mikewalker7385 It is not safe to blink at the Sun, that's the need for making things like this so you can look at it in certain occasions. 👍
Since it's darker during an eclipse, your pupils expand which lets more of the available rays in. Because its an eclipse people are more likely to look directly at the sun for an extended period of time so it ends up being the same amount absorbed as looking at the sun any other day
No but even a tiny bit of radiation can damage your retina, Do you want to take that risk with your vision?
I just made it I see the Sun and she shadow on it it’s just so tiny
I was told as a kid just to use your fist and look through the hole.
Nah 😢
you are not supposed to face the sun with the viewer, you put your back to sun!
You need to correct your post. It won't happen at the same time as your timezone. Classic preschool viewer
Gotta be one of the dumbest things I've ever seen.
You're not gonna see anything but a pin of light that you can see on any day with a tube with a hole poked in it.
Or, alternatively look at the sun in small occasional glances like any typical mammal does and see it first hand. Or don't, and be afraid that biology made nothing but mistakes and cower in fear lol
alright... let's see YOU stare at the eclipse happening today let's see what happens
@@icdxGD Stare? Who duggested staring?Glance: Take a brief or hurried look. Big difference.
bruv i missed it
Just use your eyes.
It’s gonna burn your eyes
Thank you for wasting my time
Solar eclipse glasses are still the best second to a actual solar filter.
I
😮
