    I turned our spare bedroom into a prepper room with shelving units and it is also stocked floor to ceiling. The first thing I did was buy extra handheld can openers. I figured having all of those canned goods won't do me any good if I can't get into them! 😁

    Every time I watch your videos and you talk about prepping I feel like I need to go organize or go get more stuff.
    It really does motivate me to want to go do more, even if I don’t need to.
    If somebody can watch your videos and not be motivated or want to prepare then there’s something wrong with them.
    Oh and cream of chicken soup is a must have. It has a good flavor and can be used in a lot. You can add it to your dressing and it is sooo good.

    I love that nonstick Reynolds’s wrap too. Nothing sticks to it.
    You don’t feel like your organized and I just wish I had things half as organized as you do.
    My basement is finished out and we use most of the rooms so I don’t have a large space there to store things the way I’d like. In fact we recently had a leak in my “dungeon”/storage room and I lost a lot in boxes that I hadn’t put in jars yet.
    And in case you don’t know you’ll need to go through and sort the beans. A lot of times there will be little tiny rock pieces in them that you have to take out. I sort mine as I’m putting them in jars. And they are easy to cook, just take a while.

    • @LazarickHomestead
      @LazarickHomestead  Рік тому

      Thanks for the tip on the beans. That is something that I have never made from an actual bean so i have that to learn as well lol. oh that sux on the water damage. I would have been annoyed lol

    This is great! We don't have basements here which sucks. Then we've got humidity, moisture and heat. Our canned goods are susceptible to rust. Majority of my canned goods are in containers. Even my Mason jars covers end up rusting i or out of containers. Any suggestions would be helpful thanks!

      Nope. We use everything we have here. We label our food, oldest up front and newest in the back and we rotate it out in our everyday cooking. Sad that you think this is hoarding. I would hate to be with you in a shutdown or if stuck in the house with no power or heat. Good luck to you.
