I have used and still use Pomona pectin, for about five or more years. $70.00 may seem a lot of money, but, it is not.
If you bought one box, which is one ounce. How much is per box from where you buy it at?
Times that and you will find those little one ounce box which you would need 16 to equal one pound bag.
I keep the two packets, the pectin and calcium pack and instruction paper, into a jar to keep them dry. Pomona pectin does not expire.
I make double batches at a time.
Basically there is 4 cups of mashed fruit and 1 cup honey. So, when I make a double batch, there is 8 cups mashed fruit and 2 cups honey.
Some fruits require lemon juice. I get a bag of lemons from Costco and squeeze them the old fashion way and put into ice cube trays and freeze, to use later. That way when I make the jam, I have them ready to use.
When I measure out the powder, I round up instead of level spoon. Therefore more product is used.
I water bath can the jam for about 10 min. for 1/2 pints and 1 pint jars.
You did a great job on this video, and explained well how Azure works, and the money you saved.
I am definitely going to pin this for anyone who would love this information! Thank you for such great feedback. I’m glad you enjoyed! Thank you🖤 thanks for watching!
With pomonas pectin you use less sugar. The other brands need way more sugar to work. Plus the quality of the pectin is worth it since your jams and jellies won’t get watery over time. Great video… lo❤ve Azure standard
Great info thanks and thanks for watching!
Awesome haul and thanks for sharing with us ❤I’m new to your channel and I’m excited to be here ❤
Thank you and tfw! Hope you enjoy it here! 🖤
Oh my gosh, the general store vibes are sooo cute and unique! I’d be down there all the time, too 😂🙌🏽🥂
Thank you! It’s a work in progress but it’s fun to add little touches here and there. Keeps me inspired. 🖤😁. TFW
This video was so informative. Great job, I just subscribed ❤
I highly recommend you add bay leaves to your grains. I’ve never had bugs when doing so!
Great idea! Thank you!
I think I would have switched the honey from the plastic bottles to some of your glass jars. It would make it easier to handle as well.
I will eventually after we go through what we have. For now they’re ok. But definitely canning them into quarts. 🖤Tfw
Great and informative video. Love the breakdowns. Have a great day!
Thank you! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for sharing ♥️... blessings to you and your beautiful family 🤗
Thanks for watching! 🖤
The Azure jars are so thick and they are just pretty. The mountain is Mt. Hood. The Azure farm looks out on Mr. Hood.
Thank you for that info! I’m a sucker for a pretty jar that’s for sure!
great video explaining azure orders
Thank you!
I love Azure quality of products
Yes! Definitely impressed and no regrets. 🖤
any flour, pasta,or oatmeal I put in the freezer for three days to kill anything that shouldn't be in there. I haven't had any bug problem since doing this freezing method.
I used to do that but it retains too much moisture and I didn’t like that. So i like vacuum sealing option because of that.
I love azure, the pectin uses a lot less sugar
That’s what I’ve heard. But what about that calcium packet??? What’s that for? Have you tried it? Let us know what your thoughts are…🖤
Azure has both the option to get the rings and lids with the jars or without.
Yes I saw that. Totally forgot about that to mention it. Thanks for watching!
If you want to get honey , that is not organic, Azure also has gallon size for $34.50.
Azure Market Honey, Raw, Berry / Wildflower. I love this for canning and table use.
Great option thank you!
what I have heard from pomona pectin is that you use way less sugar when you can jams, jellies Etc
I’ve heard that too. What got me was a calcium packet that came with it. Excited to try it out. 🖤
Great info! New subscriber. I may have missed it, but what was your total savings for this order?
I didn’t calculate the total savings… now I’m curious 🧐 😂
Have you tried azure standard oxygen booster for your laundry?
No not yet. Is it fantastic?!
@@coupontoprovide just ordered hoping I like it- the price for 50 lbs is amazing- just cant find any youtube reviews or even anyone who bought in their haul fingers crossed
@@Niamh07421 I’ll jump on and look at it too!
can you share your canning journal
I can ask where she got it and share on Instagram and here.
Why are you vacuum sealing sugar?
To keep the seal tight so moths don’t get in. They burrow into tiny cracks then I don’t know until I find them in there. Also to prevent kids from just grabbing any one. If it’s sealed then make sure you need it before opening. Otherwise we will have 3 open jars. Hope that helps. 🖤tfw
@@coupontoprovide - I'm more concerned about the sugar turnning not a brick.
@@zinaj9437 hasn’t been an issue.
😀
Do you get delivered to your house
No. It’s a drop delivery to keep the prices of shipping down because the weight can get very high.
@@coupontoprovide we will deliver at home when I move to Texas
@@susanwilliams1881Azure home delivery fees are incredibly high, I mean unaffordable, for most customers so thankful we have a drop site.
