There will never be another Robert Nesta Marley. He was not appreciated for his signing. He was appreciated for his divine messages in song. Many still listen but cannot comprehend his calling. They still take his message as music alone while missing the true meanings..
So true, i was a teenager when Bob Marley passed, i always said I didn't appreciate his music, until he passed, yesrs later I understood as his words hit different.
I'm speaking to you from another third world country and reggae music is a part of our lives. It reminds us of our identity and that is something we can't deny.
The first guy sounded like a Marley reincarnation. 4th guy turned raggae to R&B while d last guy gave raggae a classic touch. It takes grace to sing raggae solo with an instrument. One of my best AGT videos
I agree with the person who said , Long live the spirit of Bob Marley. No one can ever replace him. like all of us unique ! He just happened to have a special way of passing on his message with his voice and energy. Forever in the universe ❤🌈 now passed over the rainbow bridge.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for adding Lawrence Pinoyski to your list of the Top 5 Reggae Covers. Although the judges did not turn, I think this is one of the finest I've heard in Reggae. I am West Indian, and trust me, we know reggae when we hear it! I am sure that Lawrence will go on to do spectacular things
I wrote this song of freedom with my good late friend Bob Marley. We grew up together. It has a very special place in my heart. This guy did a pretty good job but he is not the new Bob Marley. There will never be a new Bob Marley. RIP my good friend.
What a treat to have been able to spend time to write songs from the heart that spoke truth to power. The first guy was really good but Bob Marley will always be the legend!
@@living9377 eh.? Oh yea... It was amazing to do these things. I will always cherish those moments. Specially the ones with best mate Rob (Bob Marley). He was really a legend.
I am a Caribbean man, Still love the man, Sir Bob Marley, make no mistake Bob's music had messages of love , and his voice, please do not compare the legend. The man of God.
That KOKOI fellow does not need this show. his voice is insane. MITCHELL very very awesome as well.. the other 3 are good but not on the same level as #1 and #2
We already had a Bob from late 1980s singing voice replacement apart from his son's earlier with African's...Majek Fashek... (also musicians & Bob's own children/ family acknowledged him). But sadly Reggae artist Majek couldnt keep it by things beyond us, he passed like 2021 or so. Yes the first guys voice sounds alike.
@@genmorg7088 Marcus Garvey the Jamaican prophet who "laid the Reggae foundations" was inspired by African religions that had been brought with the "slaves" to Jamaica. He always considered Africa as the "black-man's" Canaan.
@@donallen7484 Marcus Garvey did not laid anything Reggae, by the time ska, rocksteady and reggae started, Garvey was years out of Jamaica, his thing was to fight for human rights and politics and religion. Cutting up in the streets of Jamaica was for the underprivileged, not politicians, or Christians. It was for the youths of the ghetto. Garvey was Christian and polished
The first guy if I didn’t actually see him singing I would definitely think it’s the honorable Bob Marley himself singing . The guy even resembles the Marley’s I swear he is an offspring
