- Second-half goals from Gabriel Jesus and Bukayo Saka gave us a deserved win at Nottingham Forest on Tuesday night.
In truth, Mikel Arteta’s side controlled proceedings throughout but had to display plenty of patience before eventually taking the lead through Jesus’ clever near-post finish 20 minutes after the break.
Our No 9, who had previously struck the post shortly after the restart, was heavily involved in our second goal too, picking out Saka to double the lead with a crisp, right-foot finish shortly after.
Substitute Taiwo Awoniyi ensured a nervy finish when stabbing home from close range shortly before full-time, but we saw out an important victory that takes us within two points of Premier League leaders Liverpool, who host Chelsea on Wednesday evening.

The second Arsenal goal was the perfect counter attacking goal with Odegaard passing the ball to Jesus then assisting Saka to score.

It's been a long time since we actually won a game at Forest. That's a testament to how difficult they've been for us in their backyard. So to come away with all three points is a mini-breakthrough for the lads.

We've broken three hoodoos this season. The Man City hoodoo (home and away), the Everton away hoodoo and the Forest away hoodoo. The only one remaining is Anfield. Hopefully, that will come next season.
The Anfield one is extremely difficult but at least we stopped losing there. That's a positive. We used to get absolutely battered at Anfield. Hard times! It will be interesting to see how this season pans out. If Gabriel Jesus keeps on this form, and our usual back 4 stays fit, we can hopefully push Liverpool and City to the end and see what happens.
odegaard is such an outstanding footballer... every game i see he is the best player... it becomes expected and so goes under the radar.. but he is so good to watch

Ziny does one silly defensive error other teammates expect and rely on him to deal with them it becomes a problem. our game with liverpool Salah shldnt have scored if Ziny stayed close or make an effort to just make sur the ball is off Salah
zinny was great for whole match but he is to blame for the missed goal. But I still blame more Ben White for this goal

Credit to Havertz awareness in the second goal. He easily could intercept it, but he decided to let the ball through.
no one will notice those things because they dont actually watch the sport , but youre spot on could easily have taken it in his stride but he even looked up to see saka was bettered positioned kai quietly doing good things but he wont get praise until he does more of the bigger things to
Best move from Havertz in probably a month is when he simply refrained from touching the ball.

I don't know why many of you do not understand that it is very difficult to break down a team that is committed to parking the bus. Even Man City takes time to break such teams down. If you were expecting Arsenal to just easily break through their defensive wall and score a bunch of goals then you clearly don't understand football.

Guys, you do realise that we had one mistake at the back and we conceded. How many times have these happened throughout this season? If we would have conceded one more goal, all of us would have been disappointed with Arsenal. I myself am an optimistic fan but we've got to state the obvious issues.
