This looks like a great product. I've raised many golf course sprinklers and it is not a good use of time. Also you max out the swing joint's lift in a few years.
Say if you raised a head 1" there would be 1" gap of open ground between the flange and solid ground. Does this not result in more broken flanges from equipment driving on it? And over time expose the solonoid? Also would the ground around the head not sink to fill the void of the gap?
I want sprinklers in my lawn, but I want the kind that I see the golf corse go out and manually atach to the thing in the ground the big tic tic kind anyone know what that kind of system is called?
The golf course is clearly the golden standard of grass, hence the reason why someone might say "You should see his lawn, it's like a golf course..." The addition of sand is one of the reasons why they stay nice, and still walkable without getting muddy. Skipping certain areas would be very hard to do with a sand spreader and the end result would be a general muddy dip surrounding every head. I don't think golfers would accept this. But maybe one of the courses should try and let us all know in 5 years?

Hey looks pretty slick, I don't have a golf course but if I ever do I know where to go for my sprinklers.
If I had a golf course, I would install these.
Because I watch many sprinkler videos.
Me too!

Tyler Hopkins that’s what I was thinking I have been working as an irrigation tech going on 4 years to me I think that’s just lazy lol my opinion
Ricardo Pelagio it's quick and easy but over time I think it might be more costly
no theyre installed with a brace under the ground no gap.
He said in the video they throw down half an inch of sand a year so wouldnt that be enough to fill the gap?

Its actually called a rain gun. They cost about 3k dollars

Isn't the far more obvious solution just simple to avoid spreading sand around existing irrigation heads???
