completely agree about being with a firefighter! my boyfriend and i have been living together for the last four years and he recently became a full time firefighter and it’s definitely been an adjustment. i’m used to seeing him every day so this is definitely taking some getting used to. fortunately, he works 24 on/48 off and that schedule has been working for us. i can’t imagine if he worked the California swing shift 🥴 props to y’all for sure

Post partum is scary. My husband took a week and some off and now he's going back tomorrow! I hope he gets a decent leave or you can have family help you. I didn't realize how vulnerable it feels to be alone after, thankfully my mom will be here for me. It literally takes a village when you can barley move !! Sending you love it def flew by! People will say first time moms deliver late but I delivered 38 😅

Lauryn you are absolutely glowing i know you'll be a wonderful mother you look very happy. my son is 2 months old and giving birth was so scary because i had an emergency c section but i promise when you hear your little ones cry it will be the best thing to hear. i started to cry so hard when i hear my son crying. holding him was even more surreal.

my dad has been a firefighter for over 25 years, he’s a captain now, and growing up it was so hard having him gone all the time especially summers and birthdays. but it’s awesome visiting him at his station!

Military spouse here👋🏼 I know the exact feeling, we have a 1yr old daughter and he missed most of the time with her due to duty separation when I was in service as well. And now we’re due again March 5th 2023 and he’s going to be overseas for the last bit of my pregnancy and he’ll be missing some of the first 6-7 months of our son’s life. Hopefully he’ll be home when it’s time for me to give birth!!

My husband works 6 days a week 8 till 8 so altho not away for days it is lonely and wen our children were young I often felt like a single mum. Altho wen he is home he’s very hands on and helps so much. I now have 3 kids and 4 dogs so I don’t really have time to feel lonely 🤣 but u definitely feel it with your first baby. Remember tho your husband will be feeling the same to and missing you and your baby boy and wishing he was with you more. You will be an amazing Mumma ❤

Firefighter wifey here and recently found out that we’re having a surprise bundle of joy! Trust me when I say I get how hard being a firefighter spouse is, even though his schedule is not nearly as rough, since he works 24 on 48 off. We’re also very lucky that once the baby comes, he gets paternity leave with MDFR. It really sucks that he’s having to work those extremely long shifts for swaps, but you’re doing a really good job staying busy (which can be so exhausting when you’re pregnant) and making the best out of the time he’s away. You’re not alone, even at your loneliest, we’re all here for you!

I feel like you everyday, my boyfriend works 7 days and he’s free from work 7 days, i was recently pregnant and it felt super lonely sometimes because my family lives really far too, my baby is now 2 months and still feels lonely sometimes but in the other hand now i feel like time is not enough because i have to be always focus on my baby girl! i send to you all my good vibes and love for this new chapter trust me it’s all worth it 💖

Heyy soooo that plant by the fridge definitely needs to be moved. It’s looking so sad ): cutting the yellow leaves help so that the whole plant doesn’t die. And a sign that the plant is sad is when they leaves look all fragile! It is a pretty plant once it loooks healthy (:
