It's not being biased, but the fact that Julie sang it with latin vibes and pure voice that is automatically a landslide champ. Julie Anne San Jose is just a triple threat.
I speak Tagalog (filipino) so we have a lot of spanish loan words. Whenever we see spanish and try to speak it we have the accent cause of the Spanish teaching us.

If youll try to just close your eyes and hear the way these singers pronounce the words, i think phil has done it so well. since filipino language is much closer to spanish so she did as easy as pie. the diction was totally close

When the couples react to the Philippines: DAMN ITS JULIE, I LIKE THAT S VERSION
Here's my take (not hating):
1. Philippines (Live) - Excellent pronunciation and enunciation in Spanish, perfect voice quality and tempo to match the original music.
2. Switzerland (Auto Tune) - Perfect pronunciation, but slower in tempo compared to the original.
3. South Korea (Auto Tune) - Poor enunciation of R/L letters, very common among Koreans.
4. Indonesia (Auto Tune) - Heavy accents in some Spanish words.
How would you know that they are using auto tunes? I'm just curious.

The Korean one, I barely even recognize the Spanish words, She was eating her words. the second one was just awful, except her makeup. The 3rd one with B/W Jillian is so much better. You can actually hear and understand the Spanish words. The pronunciation is excellent. The 4th girl Switzerland . I like it, but the Tempo is too slow. It supposed to be lively music and not put anyone to sleep. The girl in B/W wins. The Philippines. Hands down.

We used to speak spanish...... And besides all the others have autotune while julia didn't do autotune
well back in the colonial period. only the rich people who of course can afford to have proper education can speak spanish. there were only VERY FEW of them. so in general, it can not be considered as a spanish-speaking country. aside from that, the spanish colonial government at that time were afraid that filipinos will be accustomed to the spanish way of life. they didn't want filipinos to have the same priviledges like what fully pledged spanish citizens had. our ancestors were treated as second-rate colonials. that's why they were called "indios". which was a discriminatory title for social status.
