US Mint Silver and Gold Demand Surges! (2023 vs 2022)

- The US Mint silver and gold bullion production surged in 2023! Compared to 2022, the US Mint increased sales of its popular American Gold Eagles and American Silver Eagles. But did all categories of gold eagles increase in 2023? What about full ounce gold eagles and the different sized fractional gold eagles?
Using current US Mint data, I will compare all four sizes of Gold Eagles and the Silver Eagles for 2023 versus 2022.
Is one of these coins your favorite to stack? Did your favorite coin increase in sales this year? Did premiums go down in 2023 and what impact did that have on overall sales.
Through consistent effort, I have built up a full tube of fractional gold coins. But with gold spot price over $2000 an ounce, what gold coins will be purchased in the future?
What would you prefer to stack? Silver or Gold?
The Gold Spot price hit an all time high, or near all time high at the end of 2023. Is this a sign of a bull run for gold in 2024 as the FED prepares to begin to lower rates? As the dollar gets weaker will gold price go higher in 2024?
If you believe the price of gold has room to move up in 2024 and will do so soon, why not make a plan to buy more? And if you prefer silver, why not make a plan to buy more of that also?
Are you a steady buyer of physical gold and silver? Did you increase your holdings in 2023 and what are your bullion plans in 2024?

Wow, I was shocked to see that big of an increase in half ounce gold eagles. But it does make sense when you think about how how high gold has gone, making the half oz the next lowest size to get. Amazing that silver eagles ended so high int he year. Thanks for this report my friend!

I really like the new gold eagle design. Now i just gotta get some! Not a fan of the silver eagle and it's premiums. I'll stick with the Britannias.

I have zero 2023 silver eagles and have no desire to buy any. I disliked the design from the start. The gold is more tolerable, but i still prefer the older design.

Ampex is VERY expensive. Look at Bold Precious Metals, Monument Metals, and Bullion Exchanges
I have shopped at two of those also.
Excellent comparisons of the different size AGE's. This type of information is helpful and interesting, so thank you for sharing it. I did not purchased a single ASE in 2023. For the premiums, I rather buy vintage silver.
Lots of great silver choices for our dollars.
The good news is I really believe the fractional gold coin supply is more in balance, so if you pick your size that meets your budget - you aren’t hit with an added extra premium like other times.

I didn't get any gold in 2023. I stayed more on completing some of my silver sets and goals. I have as you know started a second ase monster box. Just completed roll 2.
