Hi Dan and Anna. I'm so pleased to see that you go off the beaten paths in exploring Malaysia - something that we hardly see in any other foreign UA-camrs who ever come to Malaysia. It's such a breath of fresh air that you guys get away from going to the same places or restaurants that other vloggers go to. Honestly, their videos make me sick and bored. So, keep it up!
Thank you for your kind words 🫶 we can’t go to same restaurants that other YT because we don’t google where to go. In our morning walks we often see interesting places we can visit. Thank you for your support ♥️
It really is! First we didn’t find any food for us in our neighbourhood so we google and found kampung baru and chow kit. We didn’t know anything about kl when we arrived 😂😃
Peace! Bismillah and eat blessed meals. Just to let you know, I may not be visiting you for the next 10 days starting tomorrow due to the Islamic holidays. I plan to fast from 20-28 June (9 days total). FYI, 29 June will be a big day called Eidul Adha for Muslims. I recommend that you get ready to see that most shops operated by Muslims will be closed on 29 June.
Finally..hehe.. Glad both of you like it. Maybe next time you can try famous spot for Ikan Bakar at Jalan Bellamy or Jalan Tanglin, and Nasi Minyak Kahwin Hari-Hari in the alley Bukit Bintang (must try) 😁
To describe Malay dish pickles, Murtabak uses red onion mixed with red syrup and lime, or some use vinegar. Freshly made without fermenting. Nasi Dagang uses little chiles, cucumbers, pineapples, carrots, and cabbage. all mixed together, and also without fermenting. It's totally different from western fermented, found in hamburgers, like fermented cucumber, which has a sour taste mixed with vinegar.
Sir, u should ask them to cut the murtabak in smaller pieces so it's easier to pick them up.. U should eat them with ur hands and dipped in the onion sauce so u get the feel of it..
Morning Dan & Anna. The same stall selling that murtabak was also selling a traditional dessert called Kueh Bakar ( the flower shape) beside the murtabak chef. You may want to try it. Its q sweet dessert.
Murtabak Ana...same like ur name Anna. Lovely name❤ So delicious.. Sedap makan murtabak daging & ayam😂 Hopefully both of u Enjoy Our Malaysian Food. Happy Always. See u the next video. PEACE.
Ya😊this murtabak is a good choice👍n' the best time 4 eat in morning 4 breakfst n' tea time 4 evening. Then afternoon take 4 a some Nasi Putih n' anything another dish.
Wow nice murtabak for breakfast 🤤🤤.. they look thick with fillings..In the news recently that wet market and its vicinity redevelopment project that was delayed is to be completed in 2025…hope the area dont loose its vibes.🤞🏼
Curious if you two have kids/grandkids? Do you ever go home to visit family? I hope to travel like you when my 3 leave the nest. For now we bring them along. Malaysia will introduce them to so much culture 👌
That murtabak looks tasty and big in size.. Rm4 would be the standard price for murtabak in Malaysia.. Sometimes they put many chunks of beef/chicken but some may just put too many onions in them.. It's a hit or miss.. The thicker size doesn't mean better taste.. Here in Terengganu got the best murtabak.. It's thinner but and more expensive but taste better.. Usually eaten best during ramadhan many seller sells them.. But in other month u can find them also.. Nice spot to eat them is in Kuala Terengganu near the town in front of Econsave.. They have double the size of murtabak for Rm7 i think.. And u could be full eating them haha.. Usually sold in the afternoon.. And then u eat with iced milk tea or teh tarik..
paham2 aku pon utara nya geng gak..org kedah tapi duduk selangor, org duk ckp makanan belah kl mahal dari belah kita..tapi sebenarnya ikut tempat la..byk ja belah kl/selangor ni kedai makan murah lagi dari belah utara. pastu sedap lak tue..belah utara mau mahal blum tentu sedap. kadang cam hampeh ja. aku igt yg still murah makanan kat malaysia ni belah kelantan/terengganu ja

I curious if the savory taste of murtabak plus slightly vinegary sweet onion is like dipping meatball into blueberry jam.
