Yes, she was so beautiful and I love some of the looks she gives Raymond on the show. Everyone she worked with says the same thing: She was a wonderful woman!
Thank you for all the information on Raymond and Barbara. I was born in 1959 and remembered my parents watching the later seasons when I was a young child and had recently, at 62, reintroduced myself to the series AND its amazing stars. I have always felt sad knowing that Barbara lost both Bill and Raymond within a year of each other. Looking forward to reading the books you have written on these two incredible people.
@@baileyellard1 That she was. She reminded me a lot of my own mother and I sure would have liked to have gotten to know her better. A class act all the way.
I read all three of your books. ILet me say thank you and your wife for very respectful of Raymond and Barbara . I read another book and in opinion, the emphasis is more about Mr Burr's sexical orientation . I think is his personal business. It's seams that he didst much to protect his and the people he loved, privacy. My take away as I watch the show and interview that there are lots of clues. Like when Barbara said about the prank With the doves and roses everywhere, jello and the faucet if I not mistaken is a frog with a rose because Barbara loved flowers especially roses. She said,in that interview that she kept it up to that point. Thanks again for sharing and keeping them alive in their fans life. They give us so much of themselves in keeping us entertained even now long after they are gone. RIP
Many, Many thanks Deborah. Watching Raymond and Barbara has brought me so much joy over the years. I was a kid when the show first went on and we watched it every week in our house. That's why I was so thrilled to meet Raymond years later and talk about all kinds of things. Barbara was a wonderful person too and she went out of her way to protect Raymond's memory!
Brian, I wish I could have met them. I believe that they loved each other, however Barbara being married, and Bill getting sick and knowing the hard life he had as a child . The children , and her principles , faith, dedication is all part of off her character. Her love for her children would come before her own happiness. My after Bill died. Then shortly Ray was gone.I I could only imagine the grief she must have felt. 😢 If we the viewing public could see the live and chemistry between Barbara and Raymond I am shaw that Bill felt it . Just some of my thoughts or observations?I wish we could talk .😊😊❤
@@deborahkit2234 A dear friend of mine who spent a lot of time at Barbara's house told me Barb would often sit and reminisce about Raymond. She missed him very much.
Brian, your narration and choice of photographs is mesmerizing. You tantalized me just enough to force me to quit my procrastinating and order the new book (as a gift for my husband, of course haha). I'm sure it will be as good as your first two!
For starters I didn't realize Mr McFadden had written about my idols of their era. I will buy them now. Just as I'm watching everything I'm now finding on line, I can't get enough Perry and Della plus their whole cast. I've learned Raymond Burr was not JUST a magnificent actor, he wa also a very compassionate man who followed up his feelings by giving to others he found needy. Whether it was help with a job (like Bill or someone he didn't know, if he could help with money he did so and by his death he had given away most of his money. All these short interviews are priceless if for no other reason than to prove what wonderful individuals Raymond and Barbara truly were--both on screen and off. Thank you so much all who have added to my pleasure!!!
@@kathyquinn4745 I was absolutely amazed, Kathy, when I found out so many other people feel the same way you and I do. I found several Perry Mason groups on Facebook with fans just like me. I was just lucky enough to meet Raymond years ago.
Barbara Hale was a great actress and very beautiful woman!! I have watched many of her movies and love her on the Perry Mason series!!

Barbara was an amazing woman, Suzanne. She had many sorrows in her life, but she was a real survivor. I just admire her so much!

I Love Della & Perry💖💖💖💖💖💖
I agree, Debbie. They just don't make them like Raymond Burr and Barbara Hale anymore...they were the greatest!

Thanks for the kind words, Karen. Why do I think you'll "preview" the book for your husband before he ever gets to see it!

I've been recently watching the Perry Mason's, such a put together sexy woman.
