FK2 Civic Type R gets Eventuri Intake

- I've fitted an Eventuri Induction Kit to my Honda FK2 Civic Type R and I thought I'd video the install process. The kit looks amazing and is made out of carbon fibre. It is arguably the best induction kit for the FK2 with a proven horsepower increase. The video shows the installation and includes clips of the car, before and after. The noise is epic! More videos with the car soon...

Love it but I'm a bit worried about water getting past the drain plug. It can really pour down in winter
Finally got mine fitted....took a while to deliver as Eventuri supply them to Dream Automotive (in small numbers) who then sell them and supply other retailers. Kevlar version available too if you don't like the carbon fibre look.

thanks for taking the time to post the video, I have to say I love my FK2R and its standard at the minute, I have to tell you when you hurt your finger not just once but twice !!!!!!!!!!!! I couldn't stop bloody giggling about it, I'M sorry about that its the evil in me coming to the surface at least if you give up tearing around Swindon you can always become a comedian, because I was crying and it made entertaining viewing.... seriously , though,,, beautiful motor and have fun be safe,

Worth every penny this intake. I found it quite fiddly to fit though and not quite as easy as the instructions made out! lol

Nice vid ! Good work , noticed that The gap between the top and lower section of the induction housing is a little bit big.. compared to a car I recently saw with this also fitted. Not sure how much more warm engine bay air will get in
Thank you for watching. I've read there can be some slight differences in each of them, which could equate to a smaller or larger gap. Especially the way the top section sits in the scuttle, and how the scuttle sits. It's been in and out of the car a couple of times since I filmed this video, so the gap has probably changed again. Having seen quite a few in other cars, they do all seem to be slightly different. I have a new top section coming soon, so it will be coming out again😜
great vid just bought an fk2 but don't hear that whooshing noise on mine with standard airbox, definitely want an eventuri they sound epic...

Thanks. There is a drain hole at the bottom of the scoop section. So water would drain out before it gets to the filter
Did you put the microphone into the engine bay to record the sound clip?
Yeah. I taped it near the scuttle panel
Any problems with hydrolock with these air intakes really want one?
Absolutely no problems and it's been driven in some horrendous conditions. Take the plunge, you won't regret it
Hello, it's very interesting for Eventuri. This is the same as my honda car type R FK2 black if I imagine I buy Eventuri it can be broken ? I want to know if it's good or not. I will command Eventuri :) :)
It's very well made. It would be pretty difficult to break it. After-sales was very good as well. After a year the lacquer on the scoop had turned yellow and started to flake and they sent me a new one
What bhp does it increase as I’m thinking of getting one please let me know
If I remember correctly it's about 18-22bhp. But can of course make more with supporting mods and a remap

Do you have any problems regarding reliability 1. when it snows/ rains, 2. fitment issues - air leakage? I‘m really considering this intake, but being so exposed makes me a little nervous, wouldn‘t want the water running into the cylinders and ruining the engine... Anyways, nice vid, keep it up.
Thank you for your kind words. I've had absolutely no issues and I'm in the UK, so the weather can be pretty bad and the car has been driven in all of these conditions. There is a drain on the scoop section, which removes any water coming off the bonnest and entering there.
@@JaysEyeView I have seen that drain, just couldn't make of it if that little pipe would really suffice, thanks for the answer. Hopefully I'll survive a snowy winter. 😄
Why didn't you simply pull the Airbox apart? Easy to reach everything then 🙈
