    Yes please have him back!!!!
I was shocked by a comment where someone asked if you can file one PPA for more than one invention. Filing one PPA for multiple inventions? And I am assuming they can be totally different inventions? The answer by Stephen was yes, "but if it goes to filing for a non-provisional patent, the USPTO may require you to choose just one invention. But then you can file a continuation." For new time inventors who have so many inventions, this can be extremely cost-effective to put multiple inventions in one PPA!!!! This is wonderful news to me. And I will have to research what the continuation is.
Thank you so much InventRight for all your videos and interviews with different people, and audio books. I have learned so much and it is helping me move forward with my first PPA and invention ideas. Of which I will file for multiple ideas, if I have it right.
I will be calling soon for coaching consultation.
Thank you so so much for all the information you put out to us!!!! I love you guys!

97% patents worthless . How much has patent attorneys contributed to this statistics? Or is it all inventors fault? The inventor does not know drafting well and the attorneys claim they dont know about the invention cos they are not the inventor. This Gap is the billion dollar market. Attorneys are not writing for their own inventions. How will they draft in your besr interest a good patent? Ideally the inventor should write his own patent by learning it or becoming a certified attorney. Else we are just one of the statistics.
How should we file a subsequent PPA if we discovered a better embodiment down the road and does the prior PPA act against the subsequent PPA as a prior art?

The details and various scenarios that have been described in your presentation is guiding me on how to proceed and advance quicker than I initially assumed. Thank you! There was mention of the importance of images. In the future, would you discuss the expedient, cost effective ways in accomplishing drawings and images to present the range of ones idea?

    The questions everybody are asking....
Q1. WHAT IS THE FILING FEES OF A PPA?
A1. 75$ us, no tax, nothing more if you do it online yourself on USPTO.com website. (price in 2020).
Q2. What is the price of a "regular, real deal, patent"?
    A2. Filing fees + patent attorney = 10 000$ to 50 000$
    Conclusion:
    Write a cheap PPA
Then, you have 12 months to inspire a company to get involve and pay you royalties and the expensive patent.

I have a question on claiming how a apparatus works. We know that a product can be used in many ways. Many use cases. Lets say it can operate in 2 ways. Can the claim cover one of the ways although the product can work in other ways? If the claim is written to cover the first way, it brings out the inventive step of the product. But the product can also operate in a slightly different way. So hope my question is clear and seriously like to get some advice. Thanks!

I’m not a patent attorney but yes you can. I’m not giving legal advice.
Just remember if that provisional patent application ever goes to a non-provisional patent application the US PTO most likely will make you choose one invention. But then you can always file for continuation.

When you attack a problem and create an invention that solves it, you're on offense and you've put a puck in the net. When you write your patent, you're on defense playing goalie, trying to be ready to keep every other possible shot out. The challenge is figuring out how big the net is.

50:00 My own personal theory on why the USPTO often rejects with a technology that seems unrelated is, similar to what Gene said, they don't have a lot of time. Being probably years behind the docket and severely understaffed, my personal theory is that the USPTO has an unwritten "First, reject" policy. Not because they are bad people, but because they know a lot of patents are junk or are for obvious, non-novel things, and if we're honest, the world doesn't really need them. So the thinking might be, if you really, REALLY, believe in your idea, that it's a great idea, you will be the person to fight past that first office rejection and push through. Those that subconsciously know, or suspect, their idea isn't THAT great, are more likely to throw in the towel at that point. It's kinda a win-win-win because the world doesn't need more junk patents, it helps the USPTO push through the pile (helping reduce the processing lag time for GOOD inventions, btw), and frees up the inventor to move onto other things. Those with a great idea will push through and succeed. That's my theory, at least. 🙂
