No I think it has more to do with endurance, breathing and excitement. His stomach is fine, his abs are hard like a brick wall and he is well trained. The Thai boys are really good in enduring kicks in the stomach. If they go down, they get a stomach massage and after five minutes they laugh again. Cool you are a coach. Unfortunately most boys in Europe fight with a body shield and their abs are not as hard as Ethans. Difficult to get good opponents for 12 or 14 year olds.

Respect for the opponent is part of the way this sport is. Like the religious/prayer part before the match. The boxer train 2 to 3 hours per day, every day. They could not go through that intensive training without group support. A boxer who is too arrogant will be ostracized and will not be able to have group support to progess.
