Can you please tell me how to say sanctification in Japanese? A Christian friend asked that today and I didn't know what to answer and I honestly don't always trust the translator
@@moisesflores9109 Well, I might misunderstood. According to Wikipedia, it says “sanctification literally means ‘to set apart for special use or purpose,’ so I thought 聖別 (seibetsu) is the Japanese word for sanctification. However, I also read that “The term can be used to refer to objects which are set apart for special purposes, but the most common use within Christian theology is in reference to the change brought about by God in a believer, begun at the point of salvation and continuing throughout the life of the believer” (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sanctification), then I think 聖化 (seika) is appropriate Japanese translation for sanctification. Can you give me some example sentences that include sanctification?
@@JapaneseBibleStudyClub my friend just randomly asked me how to say sanctification, another word Id like to know is how to say 'the flesh" as in the the desires of the flesh, would it be just 肉
We usually refer to "baby" as "赤ちゃん(akachan)," but "akachan" sounds too casual for God, Jesus, so I think the translator used midorigo instead of akachan😉
@@moisesflores9109 “Midorigo” is a word that is unfamiliar even to Japanese people. I've never heard of anyone using it outside of Jesus' Christmas story. The Bible says "midorigo," but when preaching, pastors usually say "akachan."
It's the same in Russian the normal word for baby is ребенок but bible uses дитя which is more older word, again it depends on how old is the translation.
Praise the Lord, been looking forward to this video
Thank you so much!😊

Sure! We say "聖別 (せいべつ, seibetsu/sēbetsu)" in Japanese.
