I remember when my little boy Joshua was about 3 months old, i played this and he stared at me as i was singing to him, he bounced in his bouncer and waved his arms around smiled and cooed, this became my song to my son. My baby boy died of SIDS 2 weeks later. On the day of his funeral i sat in my mothers room she held my hand and she told me he was always with me. I turned the radio on and this song came on. I cried and have cried every time i hear it. Now my daughter who never met her brother but knows of him calls me to tell me "Mum Joshua's song is on, he is saying hello and he loves you" We will always be together in Electric dreams Joshua 16/5/84 to 4/09/84

I watched this for the first time 30 years ago with my best friend and secret love in high school.. It was the night before I left for boot camp and we spent it in each others arms watching this movie. Because of that I have always had fond memories of that night and this song. I have to say, its not quite as good as I remembered, but it was sweet and innocent, like I was at that time... and since I haven't seen or talked to her in over 20 years, the lyrics hit home a bit, silly as it may be. there is some genuine criticism in today's music; the singers of today typically do not write their own music, and tend more often than not to simply hire one of the three or so producers. More often than not, you're just hearing a bunch of songs that might as well have been made by just 2 or 3 different bands when it comes to stuff on the radio.
hehe thats right.. today's music is nothing compared to the ones made decades ago.. im one of them millenials but i should say the 60's has the best written songs.. the 70-80's has the best disco, and the 90' to 2000, dude, the alternative rocks... just let your kids listen to elvis, theres actually no shame in it..
Music taste is subjective. But we can all agree that every decade has it's own share of trash music. This is my opinion and isn't necessarily true, But it seems like today, trash/senseless music is more popular than well thought out/well written ones.
I grew up in the 80s and used to think that music was so fun, magical and amazing then, I thought if music is so magical now, can't imagine how much more amazing it will be in the future .. little did I know that, then, the 80s, would be music's last hurray for a very very long droughful period of time .. .. so, I revisit those 80s music and just think its ok .. for me, at least I lived through it - we'll always be together in the Electric Dreams .. aww.. the 80s ..
uuduu7 Man, I wish I grew up in the 80's. It seemed like such a magical time to be a kid. But music nowadays...dear God, it ain't music anymore. It's just the same repetitive beats over and over again with lyrics like "Smoke weed everyday." What the fuck is that?
I just love that this movie came out in '84 long before internet dating and relationships were even a concept. This song is over 30 years ahead of its time.
You know, I was thinking; I know this is irrelevant in every way but, why do people blame the kids who were born in the 2000s for the music they listen to? Shouldn't we blame the people who were born in the late 80s and early 90s? Because if you think about it, us kids didn't choose to make or listen to that sort of music, it was just what we were brought up with. And that goes with our poor habits too, we copy our parents and older siblings. So, it wasn't the kids born in the 2000s that made this generation horrible; it was the people born in the late 80s and 90s. Well, I feel like I just proved a huge point right there...
I was born on 26th of December of 2002 and I am big fan of The Beatles ( and some other bands from 60s, 70s and 80s,...). I am sure that I am not the only one but all that you said is true... P.S. sorry, I am not native English speaker
Ha,ha,could tell your a copper by the poor grammar,and lack of capital letters.Start a sentence with a capital,and it's 'I',not 'i'. Gave,not give.Just winding you up,mate.Don't use that taser on innocent civilians!
This was my favourite caretaker’s song. But sadly he died 😢. R.I.P Why is todays music so depressing and dark.. Why can't it be more happy like 80s songs?
For me, this song is a very touching song.. Why ? because thins song always ringing in my ears at that day, when I lost my grand daughter, which is delivered too early (5 month), premature. Initially it made me wonder, why this song always heard by me. Wondering to deep, I try to read the lyric from the song. Wow..the same with my feeling... Always Together in Electric Dreams
I only knew you for a while I never saw your smile Till it was time to go Time to go away (time to go away) Sometimes it's hard to recognise Love comes as a surprise And it's too late It's just too late to stay Too late to stay We'll always be together However far it seems (Love never ends) We'll always be together Together in electric dreams Because the friendship that you gave Has taught me to be brave No matter where I go, I'll never find a better prize (Find a better prize) Though you're miles and miles away I see you every day I don't have to try I just close my eyes I close my eyes
I FREAKING LOVE THIS SONG! SO MANY MEMORIES...SO MANY LOST.......BUT MANY STILL HERE.........I MISS YOU MY FRIENDS WHOM WE HAVE ALL LOST.....I LOVE YOU....THANK YOU.
I think what makes this song for me is not the main vocals, although they are stunning, but the backing vocals that say "Love never ends" just adds such a nice, happy, uplifting touch to the song and makes such a huge difference in my opinion. The sounds of the 80s were so unique.
My girl and I are just sat on the bed like two saddos listening to old songs like this. We walked in at 730pm and havent moved. We need food, shower etc and we haven't budged. The time now is 11:06pm Yes ....... Love is a crazy thing .....
thinking, now we have the electric dreams, mobile phones, skype and facetime, you cannot imagine how those were electric dreams, scifi fantasies, once. When my aunt emigrated to America as a GI bride, her whole family gathered at the docks to see her off, expecting never to see her again, because ship passages were so expensive. In the ten years before she died in 1990, she visited frequently on cheap flights. My Chinese friend at university in 2004 told me how his father had studied mining in Newcastle Upon Tyne in the 50s (the state sent him, they needed mining knowledge) only had letters to contact his parents and rarely got them, whereas he had the phone and email, how wonderful! By the time i graduated, he was skyping them nearly every day. Real electric dreams that let people stay in contact with people far away! In the introduction to Seventy Years A Showman, the autobiographer notes how his grandfather was conscripted ('pressed' - you had to go, couldn't go home and tell anyone, rounded up there and then) and only got free years later, only to make his way home to find his family had left years before, convinced he had run away: he never saw or heard from them again. The writer notes, "if only the penny post [the first Victorian public post, public = you didn't need to send your own man and horse] had existed then, he could have written when he was conscripted to let them know, he wouldn't have lost them forever, we are so lucky now".
Dedicated to the dearest people who raised me, my grandma and uncle, whom despite having a poor life yet filled my heart with genuine love and care. I miss you so much, even as the years went by there are some nights I still cry myself to sleep. I love you! "We'll always be together however far it seems. We'll always be together, together in electric dreams."
Born in 1982! Having an 80's childhood was absolutely amazing and exciting and then the 90's! Definately a nostalgic era. This song reminds me of my sister who passed allmost 8 year's ago. We were children in the 80's and this song will allway's immortalise our memories together!

Lagi to pinapatogtog ng tatay ko ngayun na walanasya ako naman papalit sakanya
Song reminds me of the struggles my parents went through back in their day just so they can provide the best for us...love it
Reasons why I would die to be an 80s kid, music today is basically trash
+YoungRyder music is good nowadays but way much better in the 80s
YoungRyder I was 8 when this came out...Rocky 4 , Back to the Future , The Goonies , St Elmos Fire ,
I could go on...85 my fave year of all time . I'd kill to go back
there is some genuine criticism in today's music; the singers of today typically do not write their own music, and tend more often than not to simply hire one of the three or so producers.
I grew up in the 80s and used to think that music was so fun, magical and amazing then, I thought if music is so magical now, can't imagine how much more amazing it will be in the future .. little did I know that, then, the 80s, would be music's last hurray for a very very long droughful period of time ..
.. so, I revisit those 80s music and just think its ok .. for me, at least I lived through it - we'll always be together in the Electric Dreams .. aww.. the 80s ..
you are right...
Those days we took 80s music for granted....
Joanna Mycka I wonder if we'll say that about today's music...
BrotherOfBullets I truly doubted it.
uuduu7 Man, I wish I grew up in the 80's. It seemed like such a magical time to be a kid. But music nowadays...dear God, it ain't music anymore. It's just the same repetitive beats over and over again with lyrics like "Smoke weed everyday." What the fuck is that?
I want this in Guardians of the Galaxy 3.
I’m 17 years old pero mas prefer ko yung mga ganitong kanta. Nakaka Goodvibes ❤️ Nostalgic Events ❤️
Filipino ka?!?!?!?!?!?!!?

I'll cherish this song forever and a day within God's oneness.
I just love that this movie came out in '84 long before internet dating and relationships were even a concept. This song is over 30 years ahead of its time.
Gta vice city stories
Vic Vance is a W!!!
The bravery was always there in your eyes the first time I meet you... that's why I love you ❤xxxx
A movie to make you miss the 80's
You know, I was thinking; I know this is irrelevant in every way but, why do people blame the kids who were born in the 2000s for the music they listen to? Shouldn't we blame the people who were born in the late 80s and early 90s? Because if you think about it, us kids didn't choose to make or listen to that sort of music, it was just what we were brought up with. And that goes with our poor habits too, we copy our parents and older siblings. So, it wasn't the kids born in the 2000s that made this generation horrible; it was the people born in the late 80s and 90s. Well, I feel like I just proved a huge point right there...
+RachaelPatricia blame is a faulty concept. understanding!
I was born on 26th of December of 2002 and I am big fan of The Beatles ( and some other bands from 60s, 70s and 80s,...). I am sure that I am not the only one but all that you said is true... P.S. sorry, I am not native English speaker
SOMEONE FINALLY SAID IT
marvin kligber
I'm not blaming at all, because I know not everyone is that way - I've just stated something I've been thinking about.
2000 born, LOVE THIS SONG.
Hi guys, im 25 year old male new police officer of n.s.w Australia. And when they gave my electric taser, I thought of this song.
Ha,ha,could tell your a copper by the poor grammar,and lack of capital letters.Start a sentence with a capital,and it's 'I',not 'i'. Gave,not give.Just winding you up,mate.Don't use that taser on innocent civilians!
TheBusterMan you're *
not good lol
TheBusterMan no need to be rude, there enough rude people around
TheBusterMan That was unnecessarily rude. Plus, you used improper grammar/spelling yourself, making you look a bit of a hypocrite.
This was my favourite caretaker’s song. But sadly he died 😢. R.I.P
Why is todays music so depressing and dark..
👍 😂 🎧 T O G E T H E R I N E L E C T R I C D R E A M S
We will be together in electric dreams, no matter how far it seems, especially now in Covid-19 times.
I only knew you for a while
I never saw your smile
Till it was time to go
Time to go away (time to go away)
Sometimes it's hard to recognise
Love comes as a surprise
And it's too late
It's just too late to stay
Too late to stay
We'll always be together
However far it seems
(Love never ends)
We'll always be together
Together in electric dreams
Because the friendship that you gave
Has taught me to be brave
No matter where I go, I'll never find a better prize
(Find a better prize)
Though you're miles and miles away
I see you every day
I don't have to try
I just close my eyes
I close my eyes
Early mornings in the Philippines aren't complete without your neighbor blasting this + other weekend throwback songs.

This makes me miss the 80s
I was born in the 2000s
Who else searched this song because of the football?
together together hear back this song every time to electric.dreams nice song😍😍😍😍😍
I think what makes this song for me is not the main vocals, although they are stunning, but the backing vocals that say "Love never ends" just adds such a nice, happy, uplifting touch to the song and makes such a huge difference in my opinion. The sounds of the 80s were so unique.
Shoutout GTA VICE CITY STORIES
This was my favourite caretaker’s song. But sadly he died 😢. R.I.P
It makes me happy seeing people still listening to this great, timeless song

Omg I used to play this song all the time haha and I'm only 20
One of the most beautiful songs ever created!!!
Anyone 2020??
80s and 90s songs are better than 20s songs and I was born on October 8 , 2002 and finally I play this music and it's better you know.
+Bob Bhasa I agree, 1980's and 1990's music is better than 1920's music. Don't think anyone would disagree with you on that.
yomama629 And where is my +1 comment? I don't care about those who disagree me I will take care of this music.
But, who cares when you were born? My nephew was born in 2006 and likes this kind of music, it doesn't make him anymore special in any way.
thinking, now we have the electric dreams, mobile phones, skype and facetime, you cannot imagine how those were electric dreams, scifi fantasies, once.
+Josephine Winter That's a really interesting comment - thanks for sharing :)
Nice
Dedicated to the dearest people who raised me, my grandma and uncle, whom despite having a poor life yet filled my heart with genuine love and care. I miss you so much, even as the years went by there are some nights I still cry myself to sleep. I love you! "We'll always be together however far it seems. We'll always be together, together in electric dreams."
