Best place to st in St. Augustine is The St. Francis Inn B & B . Great , friendly staff, great food and amenities. We have stayed there multiple times. And a cruise on The Schooner Freedom is an absolute must
I would love to go back to St Augustine in December to see the Christmas lights. Coincidentally, I watched this nice video while enjoying my coffee in my St Augustine souvenir coffee cup.
we come to St. Augustine once a year (coming from Vienna, Austria) and love the Hilton Bayfront. Great location, nice restaurant and a good bar (hopefully they will change the operating hours, they were cut back during Covid and still closes at 9pm, which is much too early).
Awesome video! The tradition behind the hidden red and green lights are that a city worker hid them for his daughter to find years ago and he does it still every year and she always ask that nobody spoils it for her ahead of time lol.
we’re at the hilton with a bay front balcony. this is the area has the most christmass light as you can see in the video. the tiniest bar is also heavily decorated. try 2 martinies. very strong. you’ll love it here.
“That Place” was the Tiny Martini Bar with a great old period hotel behind it at top of terraces. Also the horse drawn carriage tour with bottle of wine is great.
Me and my husband are actually heading there in the morning. We go 1-2 times a year and stay in different bed & breakfasts. We do have our favorites though.
We really like the Saint Frances Inn. We like that they have parking on site and breakfast is served early. We have stayed in 3 different rooms there and plan on going back this year at Christmas and trying another room.
My fiancée and I are staying at the Bayfront Marin House when we visit soon. Looks like it has a ton of added value with their free daily breakfast delivery and happy hour in the evening, all included.
@@thealtemlife Our stay was very nice, we enjoyed every moment. Although the room was exceptionally clean, I felt it needed a bit of maintenance. There was a broken jet in the shower, and the handheld head for the tub leaked when the faucet in the tub was turned on. We also felt the mattress or box spring needed replacing due to a slight dip in the middle. With all that being said, the food was outstanding. Breakfast was delicious every day, delivered right on time, and always consisted of something we hadn’t tried before in solid portion sizes. The happy hour snacks and drinks were also delicious and convenient. I paid for the honeymoon package which consisted of chocolate covered strawberries, chilled champagne, rose petals on the bed, and a candle. They also had chocolate truffles waiting for us in the room when we checked in, they were fantastic. I wish the rose petals were real but regardless it made for a great start to our honeymoon. The staff was also very nice and super responsive via text. We asked on short notice if there would be a mini-fridge in our room and they quickly moved one there for us before arrival. Overall I’m very happy with the experience.
I stayed at the Days Inn Downtown in October and although it's a budget hotel I was pleasantly surprised that the rooms were large and nicely decorated (older style but nice.) My room was on the southside and faced charming residential homes so it was very low key and not touristy. I wanted to be near Nombre de Dios - La Leche Mission, which was a block away. Also, there's an EXCELLENT fine dining restaurant around the corner, The Raintree, which has been there for decades. I was very happy with the location, and I could still walk to the heart of old town St Augustine.

That’s cool! Yeah it’s a must see at least one time. It’s unbelievable how many lights they have. Thanks for watching!
An easy way to see the lights without all the walking and dodging the crowd. Beautiful…nice to add the cookie and cider, too!
It’s quite the display! We will have to walk around and look at them sometime!
Thank you fot a great tour
