Both groups have somewhat similar vibes but this video REALLY really solidified what makes ATEEZ stand out just that much more to me personally. Their discography is incredible. I do like Stray Kids, and have been listening to them off and on since their debut but their music doesn’t make me feel the same way ATEEZ’s does. Both are undeniably great boy groups - I think they have different audiences so I can see Stray Kids’ fanbase not liking ATEEZ’s music because of how intense/theatrical it is or how specific it is to their storyline. I find Stray Kids’ discography to be reminiscent of Disney Channel music (IN A GOOD WAY) so it tends to sound a little bit juvenile which is FUN. It’s noisy and has such a specific k-hiphop fun vibe to it, the lyrics are surface level but good, and the music videos are SO FUN. Not bad in the slightest, just something I would’ve been obsessed with as a young teenager - which is absolutely who they’re creating music for. I cannot stress enough how catering to a younger audience is NOT a bad thing. On the other hand, ATEEZ’s discography is very cinematic and dramatic and fun in a way that I think all ages would enjoy it - especially ESPECIALLY those into anime and/or music theater. There’s an ongoing storyline that influences every single album. There are musical strings in each album that help progress the story, as well as the physical albums that include the mini novels. When they commit to a sound, they COMMIT. They spent two entire years creating Cyberpunk-esque electronic rock that was so good it actually made me buy every single album from their The World series. The biggest evidence of both of these takes are their concerts. I’ve been to both. They absolutely have two different vibes that sometimes get overlooked when you’re a casual listener. Once you experience both live, the difference is STARK. Great groups, both of them. I hope they continue to produce their music in their own ways - I am a big fan of this style in Kpop rn.
IDK why I typed all this out lmao. Was tallying up my score and realized that ATEEZ was winning in a land slide for me, even though I knew Stray Kids longer. Not super into idol/kpop culture, REALLY REALLY into the music. I’ve listened to countless albums/entire discographies from different kpop artists (always in order!!) over the last ten or so years and ATEEZ’s music has seriously stood out to me to the point that I actually went and learned all their names lmao. The hardest decisions I've had to make in a while. My ult group is Stray Kids with Ateez coming in at a very close 2nd. Some of the songs, I couldn't choose between them. Both groups have somewhat similar vibes but this video REALLY really solidified what makes ATEEZ stand out just that much more to me personally. Their discography is incredible. I do like Stray Kids, and have been listening to them off and on since their debut but their music doesn’t make me feel the same way ATEEZ’s does. Both are undeniably great boy groups - I think they have different audiences so I can see Stray Kids’ fanbase not liking ATEEZ’s music because of how intense/theatrical it is or how specific it is to their storyline.
I find Stray Kids’ discography to be reminiscent of Disney Channel music (IN A GOOD WAY) so it tends to sound a little bit juvenile which is FUN. It’s noisy and has such a specific k-hiphop fun vibe to it, the lyrics are surface level but good, and the music videos are SO FUN. Not bad in the slightest, just something I would’ve been obsessed with as a young teenager - which is absolutely who they’re creating music for. I cannot stress enough how catering to a younger audience is NOT a bad thing.
On the other hand, ATEEZ’s discography is very cinematic and dramatic and fun in a way that I think all ages would enjoy it - especially ESPECIALLY those into anime and/or music theater. There’s an ongoing storyline that influences every single album. There are musical strings in each album that help progress the story, as well as the physical albums that include the mini novels. When they commit to a sound, they COMMIT. They spent two entire years creating Cyberpunk-esque electronic rock that was so good it actually made me buy every single album from their The World series. The biggest evidence of both of these takes are their concerts. I’ve been to both. They absolutely have two different vibes that sometimes get overlooked when you’re a casual listener. Once you experience both live, the difference is STARK. Great groups, both of them. I hope they continue to produce their music in their own ways - I am a big fan of this style in Kpop rn.
IDK why I typed all this out lmao. Was tallying up my score and realized that ATEEZ was winning in a land slide for me, even though I knew Stray Kids longer. Not super into idol/kpop culture, REALLY REALLY into the music. I’ve listened to countless albums/entire discographies from different kpop artists (always in order!!) over the last ten or so years and ATEEZ’s music has seriously stood out to me to the point that I actually went and learned all their names lmao. Anyways. Sorry for the wall of text.

I think that,imo Ateez’s discography is more suitable for the audience,it does not matter what age you are,or a stay or an atiny you are,Ateez’s songs are so diverse and pleasing to listen,if u don’t like noisy music u can listen to more calmer songs of theirs and if more noisier then they are perfect for u,it is just a little bit of mix of everything.I have to say Guerilla,Halazia,It’s you,Matz,Inception,Answer,Thanxx,The real,Rocky and Deja vu are probably my fav songs from them,and here is my picks,lol,mostly Ateez,I remember idk why,after I discovered them I started suddenly forcing myself to watch every mv of theirs,and it was for over 80 to 100 mvs of their’s,so I watched it all,but I really don’t remember anything🤦🏻♀️
