At a time of desperate anxiety, I remembered Quan Yin, her compassionate and loving presence and I called on her. I remember looking at a beautiful statue of her on my mother’s meditation alter as a little girl and feeling her protection and love. And today I remembered to call her to be with me through my difficult time.
I actually started practicing Buddhism recently entirely because of seeing a guanyin statue like this. Something about it spoke to me and put my mind at ease.
I have been a Buddhist all my life and I have/still do wear a golden Kuanyin around my neck. It reminds me on a daily basis that having compassion for all living beings is a path that leads one towards Enlightenment.
I have her in my house why I saw her statue I just love I saw kindness in her face never know about her and then explore her story I talk to her when I am sad and feel comfort since then thanks 🙏 for telling me more about I love her kind loving face and gracious look thank you 🙏🌺🌺💗 from Canada

Guanyin is actually male,its just that in mahayana buddhism ,which is probably the most prevalent, that the guanyin is represented as a female to appear more compassionate and loving like a mother to a child
Guan Yin is a male bodhisattva, at least originally. His name sounds feminine in Chinese, and his appearance/outfits have mostly been depicted as feminine, especially since Song Dynasty. But Guan Yin actually originated as the "Sanskrit Avalokitesvara" who was a male bodhisattva. So I guess in a way, that they want to show how he love the people to be enlighten, Guan Yin viewed as a female, to depict that motherly love figure. In modern China, he is more widely perceived as a female deity.
@@metanoia7952 precisely! from what i've heard it was then believed that guanyin (or guan shi yin/kuan yin) used to appear to people in a way they could perceive the aura of a bodhisattva clearly. for someone guanyin who was as elegant as princess miao shan (who later became avalokitesvara) was a handsome prince chenrezig (currently the 14th Dalai Lama) for other. it all depended on how you perceive them. the one thing which remained constant however was his/her unbearable compassion, and that's simply beautiful to me. :)

Guan Yin is the Bodhisattva of Compassion but the title is ironic in animes. It is usually used as as killing weapon.
But hxh said that the guanyin gently wrapped meruem around hands and had compassion

Guanyin manifests in many forms, and depending on your tradition, has both male and female aspects, among others.
It is a He and a She, boy and a girl. Guan Yin manifests all forms.
