This has been my dream QB room for almost a decade now. My two favorite guys in the league at the position. Easily a top 3 backup who makes great decisions and has a beautiful deep ball. His only downside is bad luck and injuries which is a dangerous combo as a jets fan.

The injury history isn't ideal but Taylor as a player is a perfect fit for this team. He's mobile enough in case the line falters, has a very nice deep ball and he doesn't turn the ball over much. That's enough for this defense to win.

If Aaron can’t go for a few games. Tyrod won’t cost us the game and with the supporting cast around d him we’ll probably win those games.

I like Tyrod. He is one of the better back up QB's in the league. One honorable mention in my opinion is Carson Wentz as well. I wish the Jets gave him a shot last year. Wentz was/is better than Zack Wilson. I hope the Jets have a great year. The pieces look nice this year.
The Jets just didn’t set any of the salary cap to sign a backup because they put it all in Lazard, Brown, etc. They just wanted to allocate all the budget to set the team for Rodgers and when he went down, they couldn’t sign anyone with what money the year had left. They just went to far all in but they had good intention. This year will be different
Absent his injury history, Tyrod is the perfect backup for us!

They are in great hands for about 3-5 weeks. Hopefully, that's enough time for Travis to get the system down and be at 100%
I like taylor but tbh if we we're going to keep hackett I almost feel like we might as well have just gone with the cheaper option because with this oc we're screwed if aaron goes down no matter who our backup is.

Not right now, but supposedly by Training Camp. Hopefully, between Rodgers and Taylor, we won't need him at all... but you never know with those 2.

Nothing against TyTaylor because to be honest he's carved out a nice career in the NFL....but as a journeyman backup. I think that's what he is. If he had to lay one game? Sure I think Jets would be fine but that's true of loads of backups. Remember Jets fans were handing Josh Dobbs the MVP and crucifying Douglas for not trading for him last year. If Taylor has to play for a month? Yikes. If that is the case I think Jets are done. I really have no confidence in Taylor to lead Jets or any team anywhere. As a band aid, ok, fine, I guess. I liked Ty Huntley much more for his upside and Tannehill could have been had as a band aid for a fraction of the price. One game her one game there, ok. Rest AR end of season if Jets clinch something? Fine. Only way Jets are winning it all is if Rodgers plays pretty much injury free. Week to week wear and tear is about it. He needs to play a lot and even if he has a season like his last one in GB that puts his numbers in top 3 Jets QB seasons of all time. Couple that with Jets potential running game juggernaut AND top 5 defense ands that could mean Super Bowl win.

honestly is nathaniel hackett that bad? he had to coach russell wilson whos a bad fit schematically and really just does only one thing well. and then he had to coach zach wilson without an off season to focus on him paired with the worst oline 💀 thats like impossible when im thinking about it now

@@jman0022 people don't understand that their west coast offense was schemed up for Rodger and is a really complicated sytem. Both Russell Wilson and Zach Wilson were unable to grasp the west coast offesnive style system. People are forgetting Rodger won 2MVP with Hackett's offense.
Tyrod Taylor has an injury history, though. I do not like that.
I don’t feel comfortable at all with just Rogers and Taylor. I think Rogers is over the hill and to make the playoffs we will need another vet in the qb room. Taylor is good but watch his ribs. We could have had McCoy or Minshew but of course we didn’t move fast enough. I would like to see Tannehill or someone of that ilk as our number three. No more trotting rookies out there with the way we are set up now. Playoffs or bust this year. Can we win the east before these yahoo’s start talking about Super Bowl’s. I really believe most Jets fans have no idea how pro football works. You don’t go from 7 wins to 17 or even 12 for that matter. Something we have only done 2 times in 55 years.

Stop it, tyrod. Taylor is not a backup caliber qb. I don't even understand why he is still around he had multiple chances on good teams, and he blows it every time and he will do the same here our rookie haven't taking a snap yet and he is better than tyrod
