Diana being pregnant was great for ratings regardless of who the dad is. They might as well let Effie be pregnant too since it’s the last season!🤷🏾♂️ Many of you are confusing the short term “storyline” with the shows long term “bottom line” tho. Tariq is the franchise at this point and they have plans for his character maybe 2 years, 5 years or even 10 years down the road. Those long term plans for Tariq are what will dictate if Diana has a baby with him. (verses her simply being pregnant for a few episodes) Remember Book 2 is coming to an end very soon. I read that Mary J. gets paid $400k per episode… Ghost only got paid $150k per episode and they cut ties with him when he asked for a pay raise. Fearing that Book 2 would fail without Ghost they overpaid Mary J. Blige, Method Man and Larenz Tate to help carry the new show. The payroll for Book 2 is a lot higher then they wanna pay long term which is what got the show canned. The Tejada family won’t be a part of the next Spin-off because they can’t afford Monet. So look for Dru, Diana & Monet to all die or go to prison before the end of this season. (which means their will be no baby with Tariq) Cane becoming more of a main character and sleeping with Noma makes it appear as tho they have landed roles in the next book. Notice how Method Man is losing his law license? That’s because they’re tired of paying his salary too. Even if Davis manages to get his law license back it won’t matter because the next book will be in a different state outside of his jurisdiction to practice law so it’s a wrap for him too either way it goes.
I don't believe Diana's character is getting paid as much as Mary's and Method's characters not to mention there's a good chance she could come back as Tariq's love interest in the future. See we never got a chance to see the beginning of ghost and tasha's relationship in Power so I believe they will play that out with Tariq and Diana in the future! 😊

(and most of the story lines with it) If Tariq having a baby with Diana is the long term plan; why would writers have Tariq sleep with Anya Convington AFTER he learns that Diana is pregnant by him? To me this means one of 2 things; Diana isn’t pregnant by Tariq or Diana doesn’t make it out of season 4 with child if she is pregnant by Tariq.

I think you are right the pregnancy is going to save Diana. But part of me was wondering if they were going to parallel this storyline to Tommy and B Mickey and what they did to the mother's of their children. But I think it would mk a better story for Tariq to know. Wish it wasn't the final season so they could stretch it out to see the future of this.

I'm not sure why everybody is going bad on Diana because in my opinion she's a product of her environment. She wanted to do the right thing and go to school but Monet wouldn't let her. Diana's father did agree and allowed her to finally go to college but he had her selling drugs at the school to still benefit the family something she didn't want to do. To be honest I believe she's the perfect match for Tariq because she ain't afraid to get her hands dirty if she has to and she believes you're coming for her. Diana and Tariq, Tariq and Diana think about it, Lauren is gone and I just don't trust Effie at all, she's an opportunist and is more calculated. Once again Diana does things because she feels like she has no choice in the matter, also keep in mind that there was a lot of things revealed under Diana's watch. 😊
