Gifford Hall reflects a traditional design of long open hallways with rooms on either side of the corridor. Most rooms are arranged in suites with two or three students to a room and two rooms sharing a bath. Residents are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of their bathroom.
Gifford Hall also has a kitchen facility with microwave oven, vending services, study lounges, TV lounge, and laundry facilities. Wireless Internet access is available throughout the entire building.
Gifford Hall, named in honor of professor Henry A. Gifford, was opened in 1935, and was renovated in 2002.

Cooling/Heating Instructions
This building will automatically switch between heating and cooling based on the outside air temperature. The outside temperature will need to be in the mid to low 50s for this change to occur. With this building, it is possible for the heat to be on at night and for cooling to be on during the day.
