Another Phelps blockbuster! Love the van, Axis & Ujoint 5 stars! Poor pup that hurts, beautiful brown, good food, epic adventures! Looking forward to the next. ✌️Steve
Sat watching this in the UK as a two day storm sweeps the country. 60 to 90 mph winds and driving rain has us all stuck indoors until Monday. All the rivers are blown out and lakes are flooding their banks. No fishing, no mountain biking, but...did get out for a bit of shooting. Love your videos and their true-to-life story, though what a story. Looking forward to the next one folk.🙏🏻
I generally don't get jealous of UA-cam videos, but, that van is incredible! My wife and I have been talking about something like that for a few years. It's probably time to make it happen. Thanks for sharing!
WOW, that was incredible. Love your videos so much .We've been watching a lot of your past o especially. Really hoping you can get a weekly schedule to post. You're putting out some great content.
Looks like you're playing with the Jensens' pet browns! Love the video and glad you guys enjoyed the area. Cutthroat dry fly fishing used to be a lot better in the foothills but the area got hammered hard during covid.
Awesome video you guys!! Thank you for sharing the adventures. Rig issues are more of a when than an if thing. New or old lol! Personally I like older stuff that we can fix ourselves and source parts for. Sometimes a shop is the only option, but most of our issues we've been able to handle. Ours is an 06 f350 flatbed setup. Party on you two!! 🤙🏻😁
Glad you enjoyed it! Sounds like you have a great setup yourself. Older rigs like ours are so simple compared to the new ones. Much easier to work on myself and source parts
Awesome vid! I found your channel by way of Ujoint Off-road Colorado. I’ve been debating whether or not to have Justin and the crew do my van or if I should do it myself. I’m leaning towards doing it myself and taking my time and going over everything, maybe even full body off. Mine is a 2014 with 120k miles and your vid is helping me think that it might be worth it to invest that time upfront and replace stuff while it’s in my garage instead of on the road. Especially because we’ll have two preteens with us as we travel around North America. Keep up the great attitude and the great content
I did my second van DIY, really not that bad of a job. Sounds like you have the space to do it and that honestly is the biggest hurdle. I did mine on a level driveway on jackstands. Then had a buddy do the welding portion and I did everything else solo. If you have questions let me know, happy to help! Also, Justin and Chris are pretty responsive if you have questions while doing the install.
@ thanks for the feedback! I have a large garage and am fairly mechanically inclined, but previously mostly with wood and more basic work on cars. Only recently started working with metal and welding is next on my list. I’d like to do my own bumpers and stuff just to try to save money. Before you know it the UJoint conversion and add-ons can run 70k. Not to take anything away from those guys because they seem like they’re worth it in today’s marketplace, but If I can do it myself and save $25-30k… make it a family project with my boys and do other maintenance/repairs along the way… sounds like the way to go. I’d rather spend that money on family adventures with the completed van!
@@feed_defend_evolve sounds like you're all set! You'll save a lot of money on labor and added bonus of doing it with the fam. Best of luck with the rig!
From my experience, I’ll say the guys at Ujoint are seasoned pros and will do a fantastic job on your rig. Either way you can’t go wrong. Sounds like a fun family adventure, good luck with the van build!
Always a few teething issues on a fresh build like this!! Can’t wait to see you guys again if you ever pass back through our neck of the woods! We are a lot closer to the good fishing now!!
Luke is the man. The espresso maker is pretty good. Takes some time and tinkering to make but the result is delicious. For those reasons we reserve it for special occasions. On the go I prefer the aeropress
Love your van but who is on the other van? do they have a channel? I'm looking for a bumper for my van with the two boxes in the back. I have a Chevy Express though, but maybe whoever made his bumper has one for the chevy. Thanks
@PhelpsontheFly thank you I'm looking for streamer rig that can turn over some stuff. I own a 8wt and probadly should get a 7wt but it gives me something to think about. Lol appreciate your efforts. Keep hammering we the u tube community love your work. Good luck on your van life.
While I am happy you had great fishing, as a local to those Alberta mountain streams I am wildly disappointed that someone is giving out pins to the brown/rainbow stream you fished at the end. That is holy water that is typically kept very hush hush. Please keep that one close to the chest Will.
Ah, yes, I see what you mean now. You’re referring to the person in the video who told me about the stream. I will certainly be keeping this one close to the chest. Now that I’ve fished there I understand why.
One of your best vids! Those fish were beauties

You guys just keep getting better.

I’m stoked
hello I just found your channel and I love your videos! -- I already hit subscribed 🥰
Glad you're here!
Incrível!!!
Good stuff, mate
Much appreciated!
I went to BC. I read The Four Agreements. I watch Outdoor Boys. I think y'all might be my people haha. Oh and it goes without saying I fish.
Great spot for a show on Kooky Noosa!
Incredible music and views!
If from Alberta and great video makes me wish all the creeks weren’t frozen over
Before you know it it’ll be spring and the fish will be rising once again

outdoor boys!
Luke is the man
No way you’ve got the Rodman jersey on😂 “I’m the Rod Man”
You know it! Haha
@OutdoorBoys what what
Also that stovetop espresso maker, any good?
Luke is the man. The espresso maker is pretty good. Takes some time and tinkering to make but the result is delicious. For those reasons we reserve it for special occasions. On the go I prefer the aeropress
I've been in love with your videos since I found the Patagonia one. Can I ask what camera setup you use for this awesome quality?
Love your van but who is on the other van? do they have a channel? I'm looking for a bumper for my van with the two boxes in the back. I have a Chevy Express though, but maybe whoever made his bumper has one for the chevy. Thanks
Dennis Rodman with the Bull trout.
Next time we’re bringing out Pippen and MJ
@@PhelpsontheFly Hell yeah! When basketball was fun!
Dang. In this video you’ve had more issues with your 15 year old van than I’ve had with my 99 E250 after 5 years of living in it.
Congrats on a great fish. I had a question about your Rod. Do fish the Redington vice? If so what do think of it?
Thanks! If you like fast action, the vice is possibly the best rod out there for the money. Solid 6wt for big bugs and nymph rigs
@PhelpsontheFly thank you I'm looking for streamer rig that can turn over some stuff. I own a 8wt and probadly should get a 7wt but it gives me something to think about. Lol appreciate your efforts. Keep hammering we the u tube community love your work. Good luck on your van life.
Where in alberta were you??!
What u don’t don’t catch and cook you fish right?

I’m sorry to hear about your disappointment, and I’m not sure what you mean by giving out pins? It is not my intention to give away spots.
@ All good. I didn’t mean to be a downer i was just shocked that people were giving info out on this river.
Ah, yes, I see what you mean now. You’re referring to the person in the video who told me about the stream. I will certainly be keeping this one close to the chest. Now that I’ve fished there I understand why.
@ I appreciate that, you’re a good man Will.
@phelpsonthefly would highly recommend think about undercoating your van with fluid film or wool wax. Love the video!!!
Thanks for the recommendation! Cheers
