Sorry for the long comment, I just like to show what this anime did right since a lot of people dislike this anime. This anime scratched an itch for me that no other did. I know that objectively it's mediocre but it had some small details that really made it enjoyable for me. Firstly the fact that the main character actually gets with a girl and ends up marrying her. When have you seen a Isekai with an OP protag do this? Also I like the more subtle reasons why the main character is OP. There's the obvious reason which is that he was taught by the best but it's the more implied reason that I adore. He remembers what he was taught in his past life. He was a physics nerd and so that let him do magic like no one else could in this new world. It's a concept I've often thought about when imagining myself in an Isekai scenario. Like in episode 2 of Isekai Cheat Magician, when Rin was being taught fire, once she learned the basics of magic and a simple fire spell, she immediately applied her science knowledge to turn the fire blue by using a different fuel, which her mentor Muller was immediately impressed by. Unfortunately, the anime didn't run with this idea and just became a basic OP main character Isekai because of it. I feel like Kenja no Mago did a better job of running with that idea and I love the show for it. If there are any others that do this I would love a recommendation btw :D.
I absolutely agree with you. It is so damn rare that the op gets the girl especially for short anime like this. I loved this anime. It's actually funny people can hate this anime but love misfit of the demon academy. I really hope we get a season 2
@@JJ-ry8qq Misfit was a fun one as well. That ones main pull is imo, the absolute confidence of the main character which was entertaining to watch. A season 2 would be awesome.
@@rea8366 Is it a top quality watch? Of course not. It isn't "good" in the same sense that like Death Note or FMA Brotherhood are. It's good because it's a fun, carefree watch with likable characters and enjoyable relationships between them. It's also entertaining to watch it slash the troupes of "OP isekai harem but he never gets a girl". He doesn't have a harem, and does get the girl, in like ep 6 if I remember right. No beating around the bush. So watching their relationship in particular is quite refreshing. Again, it's not like I'm saying it's an amazing 10/10 top quality anime. It really, really isn't. It's just...fun. Don't know how else to put it. And if you have fun watching it, what more could you ask for?
@@AnonymousHamster First of all the harem in this which is not much is not enjoyable. Second the main character is so overpowered that its really not enjoyable anymore. If the main character has no struggles at all then whats the point? Even worse the second season is never happening. The fights are bland with the friends just running away and him doing all the work. The title he recieves after and becomes popular out of nowhere is the most frustrating thing ever. The only thing that i would maybe watch this Anime for is this amv.
