This was an interesting video, mostly as I want to have a business breeding reptiles, lovely to see how you guys run the place really and, wow those blue tongues were stunners
Yeah, there's no way in hell I could do what you guys do. lol Working with family (which I've done before) is not something I gel with very well. Of course, it really depends who exactly I'm working with. I worked with my Mom once and that was actually kind of cool. Of course, my mom has my sense of humor, so it was pretty easy. Anyone else, though, would be a serious challenge. Great episode, guys! :)
AnimalBytesTV haha I find it funny that you're keeping 15ft+ (and pretty grumpy) retics but can't keep roaches cos they're scary :D (not judging, I have a weird thing with crane flies...)
Great show Brian. Just have one more episode and i will have watched ever one. I think it's great that you and Lori have a great working relationship. Hopefully next year i will get around to finally adding one of your ball pythons to my collection. Keep up the great work with the show. P.s. Did you switch all your snakes to aspen bedding? If so how so you like it for the ball pythons with the humidity.
I think that you and Lori are a great couple you seem so happy together. I love watching your videos because I want to have a business with reptiles but in the UK. I have a sand boa about to give birth and I'm going to hopefully invest the money from that into some blue tounged skinks. I love your show you inspired me to want a business so Thankyou for that :)
Hey Brian great video! It was fun hearing how you and Lori run your business. Please don't tell my wife, but I am in total control of what happens here at For Goodness Snakes. Let's just keep that between us OK? LOL..... Take care my friend. Brian / FGS
Brian I actually bought my first snake through you about 19 years ago without that experience I might not have snakes today. Thanks .do you have any Highway stuff to show?
Hey Brian question about Skinks. What's that hole behind their mouth used for? And your first building had a bowling alley next to it! Freaking sweet! Awesome video man!
thanks for this video, Brian! i've been breeding tarantulas for almost 4 years now and i've always wanted to get into BTS! just checked out Andrew Seike's website and I'm thinking of getting a few from him! Will definitely get some from you too when you start selling them!
Does Andrew sieke have a website I live by him and and seen his blue tongues at an expo but haven't seen or heard much from him in a couple years he had beautiful blue tongues
Hey brian. Im jordan and you have done something no one can which is still living the dream you have set for yourself. I to have a passion for these living creature an have ideas for new morphs for leopard geckos, african fat tails, and ball pythons. When I have them ready hope youll be buying from me one day. But I want to know what is the longest and biggest progect you have for a new morph?
Ahhhh, the sleeve is almost complete! I haven't been keeping up with ABTV unfortunately (finals season!); what's the latest addition? :) P.S. My school brings in therapy animals to help us de-stress, and this time they brought in EIGHT snakes, including milk snakes, ball pythons, a gorgeous rainbow boa, and a boa constrictor! It was the greatest!
I could swear that BTS were really popular in the early 90's, Brian? I remember a few breeders had dedicated websites, I sadly don't remember the breeders names and they were featured ALOT in Reptiles magazine. Am I crazy, lol?
It's nice to see the more personal side of your business! BTW Brian, does your company offer to ship reptiles to customers across the nation? I wondered how you felt about sending them through the mail system.
There are many controversies when it comes to BTS. Some people say UVB, others say no. Some people feed exclusively dog/cat food, others say no. How much vegetable matter they truthfully need, etc. Hopefully, since they are becoming so popular, more people will look into the best care for them. As long as the animal is healthy, I don't think it matters how a person cares for it. Ultimately, the animal's health is the most important. Great video!
Thank you! and I agree! I think that in the coming years we'll develop a better idea of the best practices. I am caring for mine like all my Australian friends are. I assume that being that they have kept them in numbers far longer than anyone here that is the best option. Thanks again, Brian(Sbtv)
I wish I could do what you do so much. I've always loved reptiles and couldn't imagine a better job if I tried. But I know realistically that if I were to start a business it probably wouldn't be too successful haha especially not with BHB just across the lake xD
I won't have that many good not normal snakes until at least next breeding season since I've just started. Breeding season for my snakes is normally may 15th is the day I put the male in the first female's bin
Cardboard is not air tight. In the colder months we do not put air holes when shipping so as to keep the animals warm. Trust me they can breath totally fine. Thanks for your concern, Brian(Sbtv)
Curious, does your son (or any other children, I forget how many you have) plan on going into this business as well? BHB could be called a family business but do you think its going to be inherited and passed down through your family as well?
That's a great question.. At this time I doubt my kids will pick up the torch for my business. I always said I would never push it on them. There's always a chance that they will gain interest at some point, but at the moment it's not looking like they got the "animal" gene. Thanks, Brian(Sbtv)
Hi Brian! First of all great episode. Second, how do you feel about this guy on the discovery channel letting an anaconda eat him? I personally think its ridiculous.
Hey brian, could you tell me what the best way to euthanize a reptile would be? a friend of mine told me that putting sick reptiles in a freezer is the most efficient but tbh it sounds a bit sketchy to me..thanks
Freezing them is very inhumane, as they're conscious when they feel their cells splitting but paralyzed due to their metabolism. You could probably get some sort of injection done at a vet's office.
Rivers 94 "Freezing a live reptile is controversial, and some owners who don’t have ready access to a vet have employed this method. It is thought that herps may feel pain as ice crystals form in the tissues during the freezing process." - www.reptilesmagazine.com/Reptile-Health/Ask-A-Vet/Euthanizing-A-Reptile/ They, of course, go on to discuss injections and sedatives and whatnot.
I know this is slightly unrelated but are there any Leopard Gecko owners here who have any tips on changing their geckos diet? I've had my gecko for about a year now and she used to love crickets, mealworms, locusts, calci worms, etc. but now the only thing she'll eat is mealworms.
I am so upset I left my snake at home for 2 months a nice 8 year old healthy ball python after feeding her well I go away to school, then I get a call saying she dies all I asked my family to do was put water because I know I was coming home soon! Smh she was the nicest ball python to ever have my 2 year old nephew even held her. I now have to save up to get another one and this time she's going to school with me regardless of restrictions. :(
OMergawd, I LOve Em Sunsets And Coffes Is It? The Coffees LOok LIke They Have Some Caramel On THere Sides!!! Haha :D Reacon I Should Get One Of These To Add To The Collection? ^^ And Do Ya Still Have Chewy? D:
What are you talking about? I set them all up within minutes of filming. Did you want me to have a 30 minute piece on setting them up.. Your comment is unbelievable...
Take a look inside the partnership between Lori and Brian and how it relates to their success with BHB Reptiles...

Hey Brian great video, just wondering where do u get your plastic bins from?
Ditto that. I want to know where I could get tubs that actually have those windows in them, like the ones he uses for his retics and cribos.
Great episode as always those baby snake were beautiful they are going to be amazing when they get older :)
Thanks Jason! Brian(Sbtv)
Brian can you give your opinion about Paul Rosolie in his film Eaten Alive?
Awesome show brian! I was a little curious, do you keep a dubia roach colony since they are better to have and easier to keep then crikets ?
I do not only because I am a little scared of roaches...lol.. Great food source though! Thanks, Brian(Sbtv)
AnimalBytesTV haha I find it funny that you're keeping 15ft+ (and pretty grumpy) retics but can't keep roaches cos they're scary :D (not judging, I have a weird thing with crane flies...)

Hey Brian great video! It was fun hearing how you and Lori run your business. Please don't tell my wife, but I am in total control of what happens here at For Goodness Snakes. Let's just keep that between us OK? LOL.....
Take care my friend.
Brian / FGS
Haha.. it'll be our secret! Hope all is well! Can't wait to come visit again! Brian(Sbtv)
***** Before you do, think to yourself. Would people want to watch this? If not, then don't do it.
***** Try it out. You have nothing to loose for trying it once. I'm just saying it might not get any views.
Brian I actually bought my first snake through you about 19 years ago without that experience I might not have snakes today. Thanks .do you have any Highway stuff to show?
That's so awesome! Thanks so much! Brian(Sbtv)
Hey Brian question about Skinks. What's that hole behind their mouth used for?
And your first building had a bowling alley next to it! Freaking sweet! Awesome video man!
Those are actually their ears. They look goofy though:) thanks, Brian(Sbtv)
There you did it Brian! It's Yes Shave December! haha
Awesome episode as always! Can you give us a update and show some blood pythons next time?
thanks for this video, Brian! i've been breeding tarantulas for almost 4 years now and i've always wanted to get into BTS! just checked out Andrew Seike's website and I'm thinking of getting a few from him! Will definitely get some from you too when you start selling them!

I could swear that BTS were really popular in the early 90's, Brian? I remember a few breeders had dedicated websites, I sadly don't remember the breeders names and they were featured ALOT in Reptiles magazine. Am I crazy, lol?
ok so i took a huge break from this channel i was watching for about 2 or maybe 3 years can someone explain what happened to sbtv and wat this is
What type of dog food do you use for the BTS
Nice video, very interesting topic!
Glad you liked it! Thanks, Brian(Sbtv)
It's nice to see the more personal side of your business! BTW Brian, does your company offer to ship reptiles to customers across the nation? I wondered how you felt about sending them through the mail system.
Thanks so much! We ship via FedEx. We have never shipped USPS and I believe you are not allowed to? Thanks, Brian(Sbtv)
AnimalBytesTV Ok, cool. One day I'll have to order a corn snake. ;)
Can't wait for these blue tongues to be available.
i was wondering if you have scaleless corn snake because I want one
They do they're not as pretty as the scaleless BP's though especially when they're babies
Is there a snake rack I can get that can hold baby to adult or do I need2 racks?
There are many controversies when it comes to BTS. Some people say UVB, others say no. Some people feed exclusively dog/cat food, others say no. Hognose episode!!!! When?
I'm thinking about getting a blue tounge skink do u ship to nj
Nice episode btw!
Do you ship western hognose snakes to Canada?
Can you guys start breeding/selling Corallus Hortulanus? They're frequently over looked but produce amazing offspring.
I get it. Brian has ORCD; Obsessive Reptile Compulsive Disorder... "oh look! a squirrel! to feed to my snake"
good show liked it a lot :)
Snaaakes
Is that a siberian husky? omg love those
Yes she is.. I love her too! Thanks, Brian(Sbtv)

how does the snakes/lizards breath in those boxes? I can't see any breathing holes
Cardboard is not air tight. In the colder months we do not put air holes when shipping so as to keep the animals warm. Trust me they can breath totally fine. Thanks for your concern, Brian(Sbtv)
Amazing Video would be pretty cool to own a Business like this. :o
Curious, does your son (or any other children, I forget how many you have) plan on going into this business as well? BHB could be called a family business but do you think its going to be inherited and passed down through your family as well?

How do you heat all of them bts ?
Heat tape or heat cable most likely. Alternatively, there's a chance the entire room is heated so there's no need for additional heating devices.
SnakeBytes you inspired my cousin to start his own snake business like you!
That's awesome! Tell him I wish him the best! Brian(Sbtv)
Can you please tell me what TYPE OF SNAKES THERESA ARE?
Cool you guys rock!
Where can I buy cheap blue tongues?
You should do a tour of BHB for a video.
Can you do a video about you skinks or about other geckos please
Are blue tounge skinks the same as blue tounge lizards?
I think they are refereed to as that as well? Thanks, Brian(Sbtv)
Do blue tongue skinks need UVB
I like your volg show and I love guys are funny
Thanks so much! Brian(Sbtv)
so awesome!
thank you for watching, Brian(Sbtv)
Hi Brian! First of all great episode. Second, how do you feel about this guy on the discovery channel letting an anaconda eat him? I personally think its ridiculous.
I hope he gets digested. Reptile lover my ass
I just don't understand what it will prove... Seems to be a cry for attention.
Colbie Oliver exactly
Please help I need to convice my mom ball pythons aren't bad snakes. I want one as a pet

The dislike must be boaman
Hahaha
Hahaha that guys a joke
lol
If I order from Bhb reptiles would it ship reptiles to me?
Yes but u have to pay for ahipping
You can watch my video of me unboxing a cornsnake from BHB
We ship every day:) Let me know if I can ever help out, Brian(Sbtv)
they put them on bags and a super closed box i find that a little weird but besides that great episode
Everyone ships them like that. They can breathe just fine
+AnimalBytesTV I really wanted to send you a few of my ball pythons as a sort of fan mail. they are great for projects
I thought that, i would never do it myself but i thought i would ask just to be sure, cheers for the info
Rivers 94 There's a few articles out there that describe more humane methods of euthanasia but I've currently not looked too much into it.
Rivers 94 "Freezing a live reptile is controversial, and some owners who don’t have ready access to a vet have employed this method. It is thought that herps may feel pain as ice crystals form in the tissues during the freezing process."
They, of course, go on to discuss injections and sedatives and whatnot.
Cheers mate ill have a look through that now
Was that Sam?
@Pathology Vapes Damn!
I know this is slightly unrelated but are there any Leopard Gecko owners here who have any tips on changing their geckos diet? I've had my gecko for about a year now and she used to love crickets, mealworms, locusts, calci worms, etc. but now the only thing she'll eat is mealworms.
A mealworm diet is great for them as long as you supplement them or feed vita-bugs and calciworms. No need for anything else. thanks, Brian(Sbtv)
AnimalBytesTV I've always gutloaded the mealworms with veg, etc. and then dusted then with repashy calcium plus
Cool snakes XD
Only bowling alley can have such size site.
Yep:) Thanks for watching, Brian(Sbtv)
I see those in my backyard
Chinese Restraunt would be hilarious.
My apologies my tablet was playing up audio is fine since I rebooted it Sorry.

What happened to chewy, & the others

I am so upset I left my snake at home for 2 months a nice 8 year old healthy ball python after feeding her well I go away to school, then I get a call saying she dies all I asked my family to do was put water because I know I was coming home soon! PrankVsSister - Prank, Vlogs, And More! ... OCD
I'm starting a reptile buisness
This is the first time ever I got the question wrong ;( lol
So sorry.. but you're doing great if this was the first time! Thanks for all your support! Brian(Sbtv)
I have a pet rough scaled Python
i love blue tongue stinks!
Did anyone notice how at about 6:54 the little girl peed all over him
WHY DOES THE REPTILE LOOKED INJURED AT 6.50? ITS AT THE SIDE OF ITS NECK
It's a piece of shed hanging.. It started to shed in the bag and that's also it's ear. It's a very healthy animal. Thanks, Brian(Sbtv)
AnimalBytesTV oh.. thanks for clarifying my doubts! :)
That's it just bundle them on the floor and keep them bundled up just so you can show them fresh out the box. Unbelievable
What are you talking about? I set them all up within minutes of filming. Did you want me to have a 30 minute piece on setting them up.. Your comment is unbelievable...
Lulu didn't need to show them being unpacked
