Yeah I felt that whiles watching Asa too. And the fact that they told her to go slower means that's she wouldn't really get much chance to rap faster which she is more comfortable in. But let's see what the future holds. But if she goes with that flow it will be more fire because like you said is not common with the kpop girl groups.

I think one issue that folks are not quite getting is that when they filmed all these segments with the girls, it was still not known who was going to be in the final group. There’s a lot more at stake when she thinks her rap isn’t good enough, because maybe another girls rap is better and she’ll be in the group instead. Pay close attention to the three girls blurred out in the dance training segment. Those girls were cut right at the end. They probably all shot videos like this too.
I think YG initially want a girl group with 10 members just what the woman in an interview said last time "there are 10 jennies in babymonster" but a situation/problem came up unable for them to debut.
@@peony325 i also think the same. 10 members on initial plan (as u can see the camera quality start to get better after down to 10 members, probably to start filming predebut contents) but maybe after revising or after they really decide themselves then it becomes 7

oh man, i didn't think of that. i just figured they filmed all those practice videos as they were getting into final selection and then the other solo clips and stuff was recorded afterwards.

Asa and Rora's Intro are my Fave so Far coz it made me 'Semi' Cry. I am able to see how super Talented they are, how passionate and it left me Wanting for More. It was a Good Intro. ASA..Oh man..I Love ASA. She is Right & Ready for all these. She got the Talent & Right Attitude to make it Big. Im so Excited to see more of her

Block B is underrated. I think GD named them as one of the juniors he looks forward to. Zico their leader is a successful and prolific solo artist.

I HATE hearing people say that YG might not utilize the artist strengths... like have they not seen lisa or jennie rap in different flows? Mino .. hyunsuk, haruto etc? They use their flow and style and make rap. ITS YG we are talking about. YG showcasing her older video's and challenging her to do different flows, make her familiarize with songwriting.
Not every genre needs Joyner lucas or Eminem flos. It's up to the producers and the girls fo see what flow can fit.
Its just the fact this opinion is out there dumbfounding to me. YG is known for their rap... and you hear this shit😂🤦🏽♀️
Clearly not every song needs supersonic speed rapping, that's why I said it is fun for me as a listener to rap to see that happen sometimes because I enjoy rewinding a song and seeing if I heard what was said fully. Even if you rap fast it doesn't only categorize you as Joyner/Eminem as they both rap completely different. It's different in kpop though, I said that talking about rap in general.
Also, I didn't say YG does not have their artists use different flows... I said there's not many groups (from the songs I've heard) where they rap fast. Asa's speed was showed here and in here live performance so it seems as if that's her strong suit, especially since she had a hard time slowing it down for her first song. Mino is no doubt one of the fastest spitting rappers in kpop in general and he mainly showcases his speed in his solo works. Hyunsuk and Haruto have different flows throughout songs, of course, but that is not what I was talking about.
