Hi Maddi... great first video... you're a natural! I was shocked 😮 at how low the prices were from the fruit 🍌 and veg 🌽🫑🥕shop. I suspect Coles and Woolworths are making a disgusting hefty profit on the limes.. Yes...can hear the ☔🌧️...nice background noise.
Oh thank you, very nice of you to say! Welcome to my channel! I also couldn’t believe it once I started shopping at the fruit and veg shop how much cheaper it is!
So glad this video popped up!!! Have been wanting to see more Aussie content and omg yay i cannot wait to see all your meals and this has really inspired me 😊 how do you plan/prep for a monthly shop? Longest ive done before is fortnightly 😊
@@Sonja... Hello! Welcome! I can’t wait to show you what I cook. Thank you for being here!! My next video will be out in the next few days and I’ll explain how I meal plan for the month!
Just a little tip with the mushrooms. Take them out of the plastic and store in the fridge in paper bags. Mushrooms shouldn’t be washed, just wipe them with a paper towel . I love the little sausages for the Mc Mummy breakfast muffins!
Yay, so happy to see more Aussies on youtube! We shop monthly for our family too, we do huge bulk shops at Costco every 4-6 months and then monthly at Coles and fruit top ups at the local IGA, we live rural WA and dont have a Woolies or Aldi close enough. Shopping at Costco saves us so so much, literally thousands a year (Fam of 6 though 😅), might be worth looking into for you too ❤ cant wait to see more videos from you 🎉
I have been looking into Costco, especially for meat! The problem is we have such little storage here in this house 🙁 Maybe down the track once when we have a few more little ones!!! 🤍
Welcome! you did a great job for your first video! I love watching grocery hauls and looking for ward to your future videos. Great tip on freezing tomato paste will have to try that. Thanks :)

Hello! I’m so glad you are enjoying my content! And yes, I’m really socked by how many people tuned into my grocery haul. I excited to continue to show you what I get up to in my kitchen, thank you for being here!
So glad I stumbled across your channel. I’m a graziers daughter and I buy my fruit and vegetables from good and fugly they deliver the box and they support farmers by buying all the fruit and veg the supermarkets reject. 💕💕
Hi Amy! I just looked good and fugly up and I really really like it. What a fabulous initiative. I hope one day that fruit and veg in all shapes and sizes are treated the same in large supermarket chains but until then this is fantastic! I’m going to look into it for us! Thank you for the tip!!
Hiya Maddi from a fellow Aussie! 😍 How exciting to have started a new channel, welcome darling! 🤎 excited to see your future videos. Also really loving watching how you do monthly hauls + top ups as I would love to get out of weekly shops. I’ve just realised this month that I can get two 10% off shops at Woolies & really want to utilise that well. Also to shop fruit n veg + meat out of Woolies too lol 5:39 yummmy, that prawn linguini sounds delish! I’m feeling peckish right now 😂 xx Also excited for the freezer meal vid!! 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Hello! Thank you! And the prawn linguine was sooo easy and delish! It will be in my next video which I’m uploading soon. I appreciate the support I’m so excited to be here 🤍
Limes are so tough to come by right now! I am in QLD, and paid 21 / kg for 2 limes at Woolies this morning. Coles, the fruit stand, and Aldi had none. Going to need to look into that Kleenex TP deal because my motto in our house is nothing says I love you like toilet paper and I am a Kleenex only brand type of person :)
Woolies and Coles are so shit for veggies. Terrible for farmers, so much imported and sprayed crap pulled from cold storage, everything is bruised to shit. And the wastage!! Oh gosh!! I get my fruit and veg from a market run by a lovely Asian family who have three markets locally. Most stuff comes from local farms. I also love the weekend farmer market and I love love love driving in the country so I can get stuff from roadside stands or farmer direct (I get my meat farmer direct now and it’s amazing!!). Perth sucks for farmer to kitchen options, but I’m getting there!
Yep I couldn’t agree more! And I so with I lived closer to the country so I could do the same! How special. The direct from farmer options for meats is so great, we try and get as much as possible directly from farmers too, mostly family and those we know through family. Interesting there isn’t a lot of options in Perth, hopefully it’s something that is going to expand more and more in the near future, maybe even for fruit and veg too!
All of the cut ends and kale stalks, freeze them and then when you've got enough, boil them up to make a vege stock, cook a nice soup or rice in it for a awesome meal.
Maddi...U should try buying your food from Aldi's and see want you get...they do Organic stuff these days etc... But U can't order online...but U get want U want instead of Honey Coated Nuts which are very bad for U...😂😂😂
Hi Karen! Thanks for the tip. Yes I have considered Aldi as I know they are alot cheaper on alot of things including meat, however for the time being I choose Woolies for my once a month shop purely because I get 10% off once a month which adds up and sometimes with the rewards system I get $30 in rewards points to spend on my next shop! However I might consider Aldi for any top ups needed throughout the month!
Hi Rose! I have been using the powder for 2 weeks now and it’s fantastic! Cleans really well (even pans, baking trays ect) and leaves no smell or taste. I used to hate the smell of the dishwasher, particularly when I first opened it after it had finished, I would have to open the window and leave the room (even with the no scent, low chemical tablets that would still cost a fortune). I can’t comment on drying power ect as our dishwasher has always finished leaving the dishes wet. 10/10 recommend! I won’t be looking back.
@@rosepollock6605 there is nothing worse.. I found the taste was especially bad if I had washed microwave safe plastic containers in the dishwasher then heated food up in them, the smell and taste was strong! (I also want to switch to glass containers eventually!) Let me know how you find the powder :)
We have actually been advised he is slightly overweight for a golden retriever he is 41kg ! He get lots of fruit and veg snacks throughout the day and is fed a good breakfast and dinner! He will watch me cook and take any snacks even if he isn’t hungry 🐷
I like your video, but two things to be aware of, the background news. I recommend watching any video you make before you post it, it is easy to use free editing software to remove background noises. Sounds like rain or maybe a washing machine. Your pants are slightly see through, I do not see it as an issue, but you may not like that. Otherwise I am looking forward to more posts in the future.
Hello! Thanks so much for the feedback, I purposely left the rain noise in but I can see how it affects how well you can hear me, I’ll certainly be more mindful and add a voiceover instead if there is lots of background noise! How did the dishwasher powder turn out? I hate the tablets they leave a strong smell and are so expensive!

@@TheEverydayMumma oo okay I'll have to try it! I was using the fairy tablets and I could taste the fragrance on our food 🤢
I cut the Aldi tablets in half and use one half for each load. Cleans well and there’s not the dreaded residual smell or taste.
