Correction: a life sentence is never until the end of one’s natural life. It is until when someone is declared legally dead. Otherwise, the guy with a life sentence who had a heart attack then was brought back to life would have been released.

I love how people just expect content creators to spend all their time and effort making videos with no ads or sponsorship. Guess what, this is their job and they need income. Companies giving these channels money in exchange for publicity isn't a bad thing. As a viewer you either pay for content by seeing ads or by paying with your wallet, since creating said content is a lot of work and not something that most people can sustainably do without getting paid for it.
Also this isn't that important but guys, it's spelled "segue," not "segway." A segway is one of those weird two wheeled thingies, a segue is a smooth transition.

I learned about the story of Shiratori back then in 2015, when I had a chance to visit the Abashiri Prison. Now the place (old prison) has become a museum for tourists to learn about history. And yeah, there's also a manequin climbing the attic raft that simulates Shiratori's escape. After learned and dug more info about him, I think his "greatness" story is worth to spread to the world.
It's not about his criminal records. But it's about his struggle to prevail the injustice system, even in such desperate situation.
Shiratori taught me there's always hope in despair, even if it just a glimpse. I think his life determination and hope are way much bigger than some "religious" people out there. To think of it... do we really need religions or Gods to embrace our life? Did Shiratori always pray to his God during his life in prisons? No one knows.
