I loved his bike. I tried making my bike similar to his and put every gadget I could buy on it. The kids at school made fun of me and called my bike the 'Pee Wee Herman bike', but I didn't care except when they turned my lights on and let the batteries run dead.
I thought it was a cool bike too. I liked your post. Not too bad of a bashing though. At least you could still pedal the bike home with no battery power.

I never understood what the problem was in that theatre. Like dudes (or whomever) watching triple XXX are just supposed to squirm in the seat and wait till they got home to 'culminate' the situation? Why would police make surprise appearances to check on that scene? It all just seems so strange to me. I always thought he was an interesting guy, and I loved his Playhouse. I hope he didn't mess with any kids.

We never watched his on Playhouse but told him we loved him in Murphy Brown. He told us he did the show because his mother was a fan.

After discovering Pee Wee's HBO "adult" show and laughing my ass off, my three-year-old daughter and I watched Pee Wee's Playhouse religiously every Saturday morning for years and she's thirty-seven now. He was a joy to watch in every character he played. A comic genius with a gentle soul.
Although I wasn't a huge fan of the character PeeWee Herman. His role in the movie Blow with Johnny Depp was incredible. Ruebens had some serious acting chops. Rip Paul!

The computer-generated voiceover could be better. Also why are there clips with unrelated actors? Scenes from Back to the future, etc., very odd.
Ya these videos use clips/pics that generally relate to the narration, like when it mentioned jail it shows Ed Norton in a jail cell scene. It's just quick and easy context filler.
Pee Wee Herman was an awesome entertainer. I would never miss "Pee Wee's Playhouse" on Saturday mornings. Loved his movies, too.

There were a couple of shots of the Nightmare Before Christmas at the Hollywood Bowl where Paul Reubens showed up to appear with Danny Elfman and Catherine O'Hara. I was priviledged to be there with my family as a treat for my daughter. Quite a memorable night. RIP Mr Reubens.
I dressed up as Pee Wee for a Halloween Party at law school and danced the Tequila song to victory for best costume! Paul Reubens was a one of a kind performer and his character Pee Wee is unforgetable. RIP Paul, thanks for the laughs, we miss you. 🎉

He absolutely displayed his talents. He was extremely successful throughout the 1980s and beyond. He had his cable show, then the network TV spin-offs. His own 2 movies as well as dramatic roles, etc, for other projects. Like it says, he kept his personal life personal. I'd like to think he had a real loving relationship, not just his "platonic gfs" like Mazar but no one seems to know.

Paul was a victim of the sheetay legal system and Hollywood politics. He was a grown man in an adult theater..so what. I was introduced to Peewee and all the wonderful characters like Capt Carl (❤ Hartman) and "Chairy" as a kid in 1981. I assumed he was gay which didn't matter to me at all. I loved the absolute joy and appreciation he expressed for others as well as inanimate objects. Even as an 11yo it struck me how much gratitude he showed for these friends. I believe that was a big part of who he really was. No doubt he had plenty of fans like me who expressed their gratitude for him directly but I wish I had. Thank you, Paul Reubens spirit.

I had inadvertently watched one episode of Pee Wee's Playhouse, back in the day. I was packing for a move. I wasn't paying all that much attention to the show and even admit that I was "buzzed". I was kinda stunned that it was a children's show. The dialogue seemed a bit risque and chock full of double entendres.
