Thank you Vince for helping to keep us informed on both the pro’s and con’s of new products.
Just remember that the faster you charge a battery, the fewer cycles you’ll get out of it. For the most longevity, use your slowest battery charger (lowest amps). Only super charge if you really need it quick.
@@andrewcaballero6288 this is common knowledge, all batteries work like this.
Your all wrong, it’s heat that destroy’s batteries not how fast, if the charger has a fan then you can increase the the amp rate charge with shorter time.
@@truthserum9157 chargers have fans to cool their internal components. I’ve never seen a charger that cools the batteries.
Maybe at the 1hr blinking, it took 14 min and cooled down from 102 to maybe 90 degrees. You should have checked temp at blinking vs solid green. BUT let's retest 😎love the info KEEP IT UP.
Hey Vince, when Milwaukee first came out with the Super Charger I order one from Northern Tool, they had a special deal, the charger plus I believe a 9 amp battery for the price of just the charger, it was on order for months and they finally gave up getting it and so did I, After seeing that demo I'm content with my 3 Rapid Chargers. Thanks for the great videos
Been using 12 amp hr Bart and charging with rapid charger . I use it in the small shop vac !!! Unlimited performance 1supper long run time2 I charge it at night ! Love that they now have super charger!!!! As always love your video and your character 💪 keep on rocking VCG👍
I am super V.C.G. fan here! Just my input on charging times. If you used a power strip to power those chargers it might have played a role in charging times. Surge protector power strips will slow down the amp draw that power strip can process. The other thing to look at here is which charger was plugged in closest to the power source because it will become primary on amp draw. Maybe try two completely separate circuits with no power strips and same size/brand/length 10 gauge Extension cord. I’m only speculating, but maybe I’m not. Wonderful videos, awesome insight and amazing energy! Stay true!
Vince is supercharged all the time...milwaukee looked at him and got the idea for it 😂
I think Vince's vest was blinking green during the video at the 20 minute mark. Ha ha ha
Nobody:.....
Vince: here’s the deal 😂😂
I watch these videos at supercharged speeds, 2x, so I can cram more videos in a given time. Best YT feature yet..
CONGRATS @VCG Construction ON THE 100k! Yall hit it before July 4th, nice work! 🤘🏻
Keep up the great content and here’s to the next 100!
😎👍🏻👍🏻
I respect Milwaukee tools, especially the corded version. As a business owner, too many batteries and tools walk off the job site. For my business (and for homeowners) Ryobi is the way to go for cost effectiveness. I still have a corded 30 year old Sawzall, and a 25 year old 1/2" corded drill, as well as a 25 year old Bosch jig saw. Buy quality tools if you can keep it from walking away, buy cheap for ones that walk away, or just die early (4.5" grinders). There is a place for quality tools, and for Harbor Freight type tools.
this is a terrible piece of advise 🤣.. if you have issues with your tools being stolen then maybe you should rethink your strategies.. telling ppl to buy cheap because of theft is not the way 🤣🤣
I hope by the time you read this you’ll be at 100k. Congratulations
I’m glad you get this kit to get to the bottom of it. 👍👍
I have an old Black and Decker drill/driver. It has a puny 1.3ah battery. The charger is painfully slow, 4-6 hours for a 1.3ah battery slow. Over 6 years later the 1 battery it came with still works great and still has over 1ah of capacity.
My point, if you don't need "Supercharging" stick to standard. Maybe invest in an additional battery instead. Your battery packs will last longer.
Keeping the battery cool as a high ampage is going into the battery is key to keep the cells from dying out
Coptool got 58m and 29 seconds, charging the 12.0 on the supercharger. Guess it depends on the temperature of the battery/ room temp. Also if you could run some more test to see if those times are consistent or if they change. Great video
Thanks Vince. Always watch your videos before I go buy my next tool for the school district.
Very informative! Super charger looks awesome I will need to get it for my husband 😊
im a up and coming electrician and just spent like around 700$ and im still not even half way with buying all the tools i need... if trying to donate to a great cause that be amazin! thanks and keep coming with the videos!!!
Battery’s have a certain shelf life. I stopped buying cordless tools. With the exception of a drill and I still use corded drill’s. Do you want to charge your batteries as low as possible to preserve the life of the battery. I think the Best strategy for going with battery tools is to have lots of batteries. Charge them at home at a slower rate after work for the next day.
I don't have any of the big batteries, and my M12/18 tools are more intermittent-use type tools (like a 3/8" or 1/2" impact), but my 40v lawn tools definitely have to cool before charging.
My first cordless lawn tool was a Worx 18v trimmer. It said it'd charge the batteries in like 30 minutes, but... it took an hour for them to cool down. I had 3 batteries just for that trimmer, and by the time I drained battery 3, it would just be finishing the charge on battery 1. I had a little desk fan blowing over the charger to help cool it faster!
Hello, thank you for interesting reviews tool Milwaukee, it is a pity that new items can not be bought from us in Russia.
There's nobody else that explains or test as spot on as your channel keep up the good work always in real life use then hear say facts always 💯 percent getter done
I've gone through 3 m18 fuel sawzalls and 2 m18 super hawgs as a plumber I use my tools daily and I found that their electronic components are their weak point because I have the corded versions and haven't had any issues with the corded versions
The biggest problem on any site is theft of you brand new $300 battery and maybe the charger aswell
Does the one key not track the batteries as well I know they have the little signal symbol on it but does that mean you can track just the battery without the tool
Milwaukee never seem to stop upping the game love this brand so much am like a Milwaukee ambassador on my site all red and black all day best brand ever
quite frankly...i gotta tell you...that super charger is $170 on sale...$287 list price...and it can only charge either a 12 volt or 18 volt and not both at the same time...thats kinda disappointing...if it has 2 ports it should charge both at the same time
Just started my milwaukee cordless tool addiction yesterday I picked up the 3/8 drive m12 fuel ratchet and it's awesome I wish I had your collection bro but it will come with time lol. Very cool video thanks for the informative video. 👍
Holidays . Or black Friday , fathers day etc.. best times to invest in Milwaukee tools.
One Milwaukee commercial after another now
Yup, Milwaukee has so many new offerings its hard to make enough videos quick enough to keep up! Enjoy!
I’m glad to see Milwaukee is sponsoring you brother.
for real i love everything Milwaukee an this guy takes the stuff i wanna hear favorite channel on UA-cam
18 min in i realize.... dang hes got the milwakee phone charger cord too haha nice
Congratulations on the 100k gentlemen!!! Well done!! #VCG4LIFE!!!! Great vid ,hope they come out with a 4 and 6 port supercharger.
Thanks for the info as always 👍🏾
Great video and very informative! Thanks, Vince, for making us part of the 1% ers. That's why we ring that bell like it's 1776! May God bless the VCG!!! 😁
Good video Vince I wonder what the longevity is on charging those batteries that fast and do you think they'll ever make a bigger battery than the 12.0
Hey Vince! Love the channel, just recently found you guys and have been taking in the videos like crazy. Small business owner in NC. Has there been any talks about dewalt upgrading their 20V 7 1/4 inch chop saw to a brushless motor? Love the idea of the portability, but don’t want to pull the trigger if there are any signs it’ll get an upgrade soon!
I would love to see a corded battery option for when all batteries are depleted and you still have work to do.
Is anything like this available?
My new m18 skilsaw & hammer drill combo out of box charger flashes green / red and won’t charge .it’s the 7 1/4 saw kit
Shot in the dark here, maybe the Supercharger's time was averaged over let's say ten charges to account for any abnormalities. Just a thought lol
I do think the fan would turn on for the M12 port. I cant see why it wouldn't lol
Great video guys!
Woo baby gotta snag that. This guy went cordless along time ago and this will be nice.
Damn! I just bought a new rapid charger now they come out with a super charger! I’m getting tired of being nickel and dimmed. Vince can you run a test with a hot battery? Thanks!
The blinking green light on the super charger is the cool down period. When the light is solid green it is ready to use.
Hi Vince. Congrats on 100K!! Any word on if Milwaukee will be offering that upgrade kit in the Packout? Would love to see that for about $500 during the holidays
Great video Vince good information thanks for the battery and charger part numbers
So after looking at the Milwaukee chart that shows the charge times for various batteries and chargers, it seems like the super charger must charge the HO 6ah, 8ah and 12ah cells separately. The HO 3.0 doesn’t charge faster from the rapid charger to the super charger but it’s only a single row of cells. So does the super charger charge rows of cells separately which would make sense as to why the charge times are so much lower.
Have over 12 m18 batteries I use the 6 way charger and break them down in two groups cycling them on my truck. 4 battery’s are 5 or more years old no issues
Very informative. I appreciate it
Vince, you called it 3 years ago with the High Output label below the 12v receptacle, “Optimized for high output batteries”. 👍🏻😎
I have to rewatch this video now… didn’t remember saying that! Thanks ZZ!
Where can I get the Upgrade Kit that you have in the video? I have looked everywhere and can’t seem to find it.
TL, DW: Milwaukee makes a super charger for your batteries that charges quicker than the rapid charger
I’ll buy the triple m18 (plus triple m12) rapid charger for the same price.
It would be nice if you did the battery breakdown comparison with pictures, or even the actual battery's. It's nice to be able to visualize
Hi Vince,
It would be nice to see a new version of the milwaukee 10" sliding miter saw. It should have that same style like the new 12" sliding miter saw.
I know it's not out yet, but you tried it out at the NPS19. Do you think or anyone else think that the milwaukee 12" should have had two battery slots? Just to have that extra power to run that 12".
I still like my corded DeWalt 12" and 10" table saw. I know it's not cordless but on every jobsite i do have power for those stationary items. I have to say i do love my milwaukee m18 sawzall.
I have had an M18 HO 12.0 battery for a few months, but have only charged it once. I got it free from Northern Tool with my kit which included a sawzall, hammer drill, and a 1/4” hex impact driver. The 12.0 battery is too heavy for my taste on any of my hand held tools. It would be great for the table saws. The fan in the new charger is to cool the rectifier and voltage regulator circuit on the inside of the charger. If it helps keep the battery pack cool at all, that would be nice, but my guess is, as an electrical engineer, that would be an unintended consequence.
Milwaukee Fuel is the best you can get for power, charge time and holding, and overall average length of service for your dollar. You'll generally burn out an Dewalt XR especially with the 60V flex Fuel battery long before the Milwaukee. Even if you don't invest in the FUEL grade Milwaukee stuff all their others are great too. As a person who has worked in industrial maintenance as a Millwright and now on tractor trailers you can't beat them. Their new 1" Impact with the 9 amp battery that hits at an incredible 1850 lbs of nut smashing torque only weighs 10 lbs! Compare that to lugging an air powered Ingersoll Rand 1" impact around and you know what I'm talking about. Busting off 40 nuts on a Kenworth and replacing them in a tire change out on a the rig will wear even the best inshape man down whose pushing over the hill age after 4 out of service jobs plus other work in a regular shift. That's taking off and putting on a total of 320 individual movements with the heavy IR impact. The new Milwaukee will bust nuts off a 40 year old front end loader rusted tight like it isn't shit. There is a video that proves it.
just remember each night when you get home, to plug in and charge all of the batteries over night for tomorrow.
Its hitting within 10 degrees of 100 where im at, the temp of the super charger is a concern of mine. would it overheat and damage the battery because of the the ambient temp. Is the "smart tech" if you would, able to compensate for temps like that to where it would charge approx. In a similar time?
Vince they have a patent out for HO M12 batteries using 18650 and 21700 cells. I don't see them making it though. It's very hard to keep the voltage balanced when you have different cells in parallel like that
not really you can get bms that'll handle a few amps that are smaller than your thumb nail.
yes it does turn on with the m12. I got one from COP Outlet last year
When the light holds to a slower blinking, that is the 'balance check of all the cells in the battery pack. For max life, leave the battery on the charger until you get the solid green.
I believe fast charging shortens the overall battery life , so batteries would not last as long meaning having to buy batteries more often......the house always wins
11:38 very useful product number explanation. Here in South East Asia the product number sometimes differ from that are advertise.
I love Milwaukee tools I have over a 100 different Milwaukee tools and they have always performed or should I say out performed what they say it can do I just had Milwaukee at my job site and that is a cool experience
That funny that you mentioned the sizzle sound. I mounted 2 of them tome metal divider wall I my van between the cab and back. Now that sizzle sound is magnified behind my head. I picked my wife up at work and she asked what the noise was.
Nice batteries and the new super charger
If heat kills these batteries then isn’t the smaller cooler charger better in the long run if you’re not in a hurry? Your own tests on this video show very high temps that not even a fan can help. All things considered for more years of battery life I’ve got to believe cooler charge is better.
Development of the product shows it's demand from the people. Not to long ago very few consumer cordless power tools could easily remove the lugs off an avg vehicle. Now for 200$ you can leave a big rig on bricks on a single battery
What's the part number of that "M18 Upgrade Kit" in the packout case, that's what I want.
Thanks for the “inside scoop” at the end. You know I hang around all the way through! 👊🏽
Ps. Milwaukee sold me with my first USED 3/8 impact. Older yes. So what? Did a great job. Broke on me, f it I want the high torque 3/8. BEAST of a gun. All the tools have impressed me. Can’t work without them. I’m lazy lol.
I have a question for the use of batteries that I can't see to find for Milwaukee batteries. If you're not using batteries for a while should they be discharged and how? I've also read that batteries should only be charge to 80% life for longevity of battery. Is this true or does the chargers automatically protect the longevity?
Charge times can change if you use a power strip as well. Not all power strips put out the same power to all ports. If the super charger isn't getting the full power it needs, charge times will increase.
I noticed the rapid chargers are only loud when charging high output batteries larger then 6.0ah batteries and high demand batteries they are not loud charging cp batteries or xc batteries @vcgconstruction
Man…I was about to fork over the $$$ for a super charger specifically for my m12 tools. I appreciate the info given I already have a rapid charger.
I think the difference in promised charge time and actual result is caused by how you had the chargers mounted. I'd like to see you try again with them on a shelf sitting on the included feet.
Looking forward on the arrival of the cordless blow jet as a gearbox rebuilder.
Milwaukie has got their shit together. Awesome stuff.
@Mark Schumacher ....the CEO of Milwaukee was fired from Dewalt....When he was at Dewalt he was not cherished by the company and Dewalt board did not award him for his accomplishments but fired him.....then came Milwaukee who saw the potential that he could change the fortune of Milwaukee......
Milwaukee will have their shit together when they bring production back to the USA.
For my needs I use the standard charger. Have many rapid chargers, but want to charge at lower amps which will prolong battery life. I have plenty of batteries to do any job so no rush for me. Yet to kill a battery yet.
This guy is in love with his own voice and can easily take 30 mins for a 5 mins talk.
Do you have details about the NPS10 Survial Kit Packout? in your video here?
Hey buddy. Im your great fan here from NZ. I just would like to ask if there is a major benefits using 12ah to my milwaukee heatgun and 1/2 high torque gen 2 impact wrench. Hopefully you able to test it in your youtube. Cheers
For the heatgun probably just more runtime, impact wrench will have more power if it’s a fuel model!
Does any tools come with the rapid charger?
When using my 2767 impact would I get more power if I used a 8.0 battery instead of my 9.0 batteries?
21700 cells have the highest discharge rate. I believe the new 8.0 has the 21700. I’m not sure about the older 9.0 though
The Super draws up to 13A and the Rapid draws 6A. Just asking, was there enough power to give the Super charger room to run. Were they sharing a 15A plug?
Awsome vid vince! The super charger seems pretty cool but for 180$ I rather have another battery maybe 2 more batts and keep my rapid.
I won’t disagree, quite frankly I’d like to see this included with two 12AH batteries in the new 12” miter saw kit!
VCG Construction we’ve seen 2 9’s for 180$ u can get 2 6’s right now for 220$ at acme tool I’m sure there’s a ton of other batt deals around 180$
Well, an hour is good, but with the battery "Completely Drained" with no lights, it is safe to assume an extra 5-15 minutes to FULLY LOAD a drained battery. Usually we put a battery on to charge (Milwaukee's assumption most likely) with one light still showing, or has just gone out. Therefore, not quite as much time required to replace the used charge ! Yeah, got a LITTLE bit of something out the Electronics Engineering school 35 years ago !
What is a milwaukee survival kit in video
What is product no for the m18 upgrade kit in packout on left of vid what is included and cost.
I'm all in on Milwaukee Fuel cordless - didn't need a Milwaukee commercial.
💜💜 you read my mind but the m12. 1/4 haVe different models. What's the diff babycakes,
@@ar-sithf.austin3744 You stated the Fuel was only for "Industrial Maintenance and Industrial/heavy equipment maintenance". and "General everyday applications will never need the FUEL system". That's what I take issue with. But if all you use is M12 - you wouldn't know what builders use in the real world. Stick to your Craftsman cordless.
@@ar-sithf.austin3744 If it's not "what I Stated" how did it get in your post?
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Whose going be the first to come out with a corded/ cordless line of tools.
